When 2 liter pop bottles were made with a holder on the bottom
*guess what? You know why the 2 liter bottles you always see nowadays are around?

This Apple Soda came out in 1980. It's name was "Aspen" and coca cola made it. It was test marked and didn't go over well at that time. They had all these bottles made especially to market this pop because they were sure it was going to be a hit. They had to use them so they decided they liked that design better and kept making the bottles like that. Have you ever noticed that the bottom of a pop bottle looks like an apple? hmmm

Anyway, I loved the pop, it was great. I bet it would go over nowadays.

That Lion gal, bless her wicked black heart wrote me and said "Why don't you participate in the 'I can Remember When...'subject in the forum? Your pretty old and I'm sure you remember some interesting things" Aaargh! I am not
"pretty old", dammit, you little witch. I am mature.
Oh, well, alright, I guess I am pretty old. But do I
really want to tell people what I can remember, zo that
people will marvel at just how old I am? I don't think
so!!

OK, OK, if you insist. As a small kid I remember the
last few years when the milkman and the iceman came around
in horsedrawn trucks. Really! The iceman brought big
cubic foot blocks of ice for our ice box because we didn't
have a refrigerator when I was 6 years old, in 1955.

How about that, eh?

dpw
