I remember in the 70's when Willy wonka "Oompas' was a candy that looked like a big M&M but it was half peanut butter and half milk chocolate with a candy shell. They had reeses beat as far as taste and then they were gone, bummer, they were the best!

Does anyone remember "powerhouse" Candybars? They were a canybar with 5 different fillings, don't think they make them anymore either.

As a kid, Iremeber walking downtown with my siblings or my friends and picking out 1 cent candies and the portions were a lot bigger then. When I went back home when my Dad was passing away, my daughter and I went downtown and I was talking about it to an older lady who was a clerk in a store. She pointed out to the candy. 1 cent candy still. I thought that was so cool.

My daughter just told me last night, I wished I could have grew up in your era. I remember when penny candy was just that a penny and when the whole neighborhood got together on the weekends and you knew everybody and we could play from house to house without any worries. I remember getting our first beta VCR and thinking it don't get no better than this. LOL Oh what a simplier time we lived in.

Never heard of that kind of candybar Cute?? hmmm?

I remember when candybars got smaller though. It was because the price of Cocoa went sky high. Then all you got was tiny and went up five times as high in price.

I kinda feel left out on this one, cause I can't really remember anything special other than saturday morning looneytoons. I do remember atari and commodore 64...I remember the days when if you wanted to learn to play a piano, you had to buy a piano for thousands of bucks...keyboards weren't out then. Ok I'm remembering too much now...time to move on.

Well, I do remember the days, but only because on the
islands everything was obsolete anyway. When I used to
visit my grandmother's house on Bowen Island as a little
kid they had only a small number of loop telephone circuits, like big party lines, except that the ringing
was in common too, and everybody had separate rings,
two longs and a short would be one persons, and they
would have to listen for that ring tone combination.
The handsets were real old fashioned like I've seen in
museums, black, almost cylindrical.

Also, my grandmother's kitchen stove burned sawdust and
they had a room in the basement full of the stuff, which
we kids were not allowed to go and jump around in, and
did.

I remember when the Coleco game system came out. It had Donkey Kong, Centipede, and my Favotite which I wish would come out again, "Carnival" It was like a shooting arcade at a carnival. It was the coolest, surprised they never duplicated it.
