Well depends on what you mean by he hurt you and children really badly? Was it physical? Did it happen often?

Before thinking of yourself think about the children who are involved and their wellfare first and then make that decision based on that.

The best of luck to you!

I think the keyword is "children". Ask yourself...What is best for them? What kind of hurt was it? and What would taking him back show them?

I remember hearing once that an ex is an ex for a reason....when looking back on my past relationships, it holds so true. But everyone is right, it depends on what kind of hurt he caused. I tried to stay with my son's dad for my son's benefit, but it didn't work out. Sometimes the best thing for the children is a split....if you are or will be unhappy, so will your children. It is never wise to stay "just for the kids"....it should be because it makes everyone happy. Just my 2 cents.

I've gone back and tried, but it still came to an end and I would'nt go back again ever, even though he wanted to.

I think the key thing to remember is that most of us don't change, so what was wrong, will be wrong again.

Good luck, take care.....wave devil

Your ex wants?

What do YOU want?

The mere fact that you are asking strangers on the Internet what to do clearly indicates to me that you're not too excited about the idea.

You know someone once told me there is a reason they became your EX and allowing them to come back is like saying it was ok for them to do it and he might think he can do it again and get away with it. My ex cheated on me and got pregnaunt by my best friend and then she asked me if she could come back and I turned around and walked away.

I took my son's father back 3 times...I'm a sucker for believing people can change. After hearing the same exact speech 3 times...I learned to " Just Say No!"

yes, children do come first, but I would never go back to my ex for the kids. If the kids what to see their father, let them go..As for yourself, just tell him to go to hell.

Can't answer this.

Dunno the situation, or you. Given that you come outta nowhere to a singles site to ask people you don't know to help you make a major desission...

can say I took my ex back many time over 20 years, and THAT was a long ride, lol.

Luck to you, and your kids...
