Abra,
Okay, Okay, I will be more specific.
Not a party animal at all. But don't sit in front of the Tube all day either. I love the simple things in life the most. Sitting by the ocean and watching the waves roll in. Take the time to smell a flower once in a while. Might even stop the car and get out to look at a beautiful rainbow.
Was married to a man that felt "living life to the fullest" was being in front of the TV with the remote in one hand and a sandwich in the other. Just want someone that will at least take a walk with me.
Have a great day and thanks for the comments.
Right on sistah!.......thumbs up cool

Ok, that makes sense. I don't watch TV at all. I mean, I have a TV but I don't have cable or antenna. I only use it to watch selected videos. Usually, documentaries, human interest stories and other good movies. But it's definitely very selective and not all the time.

I'm totally the kind of man who would stop to appreciate a rainbow. I don't like running around all the time, but when I do go, look out! I live in a rural area, so going out for supplies means a 'trip'. I usually hit a lot of different places when I make that trip, which may include spontaneous stops at interesting places along the way as well as eating out.

To me that's not "partying" but it's very enjoyable none-the-less.

I like to spend most of my time at home, but doing constructive projects. NOT sitting on the couch. I'm definitely NOT a couch potato. I love working in the garden, the woodshop, the lawn, the house, you name it, I'm a workaholic and I love to accomplish things. It feels so much better than having just partied to wake up the next day with a hangover or with a big tummy from all the cheese curls I had the night before. laugh

Actually I don't drink anyway. I mean, I can enjoy a beer or wine with a meal, but I don't like to drink alcohol to be "sociable". I'd rather get the family together and play music sitting around the fire. That kind of "party" would be acceptable.

I also enjoy motorcycle trips, overnight camping (not into hunting or fishing though, I'd rather just take a camera), sailing, horseback riding, and other things like that. But I'd only want to do these things like maybe once a week, not every frigg'in night! And maybe not even every week. I'm very much into gardening and other projects that usually end up being more important. But we can always take that hour long bike ride as a break.

I just don't want a woman who totally baulks when I want to do constructive projects at home instead of playing at non-productive things all the time. I want a little workaholic like myself. Not a playaholic!

Well it's good that you aren't married to him anymore!

Who DOESN'T like to watch the ocean waves or smell a flower or watch a sunset or see a beautiful rainbow? Any profile you might choose to read will probably state similar likes and dislikes as you.

No one admits to being a couch potato TV watching sandwich monster! We all have our days where we need to sleep on our day off, want to veg out and not think. Maybe your ex had a hard day at work, hard job, I don't know.

You married him so he must have had at least one good quality. You were looking to share those things with him and he didn't want to get up off his butt and share with you. Sad.

People change after marriage. So you meet someone who loves the sunset and ocean and rainbows. Cool. Hope they aren't just putting on their "dating self" and not sharing their "real" self.

I kind of agree with the age thing, but mostly because I'm not having anymore kids, and don't want to raise anyone elses little ones. Those days are over for me. But I like them younger than me.

I like to do constructive things with my time. Some are done out of necessity, some out of pleasure.

Guess I'll go back to bed now, see what's on tv and have a yogurt. After all, I layed a small vinyl floor yesterday, raked leaves for three full hours this morning, and will be going to work in a few hours.

Abra,
My sentiments exactly, I am a workaholic, homebody. Love gardening and doing things around the house. Just don't like to do some of them alone.
Like to get out once in a while for fun or relaxation. Like to have family over because I love to cook. Like riding a motorcycle, don't drive, but like to be a passenger. Like the backroads the best.
Consider myself to be very down to earth and love nature. Easy going and understanding. Love to laugh and want someone with a great sense of humor.
You sound great. Why are you so far away? wave
