i hold myself to a pretty high ethical code.

i do not lie, steal, or harm others. i do not cheat.

it's not about being 'politically correct' for me...i could give a shit less what anyone thinks of me. i have always felt that love is a good thing...and even as a small child had friendships with gay folks.

so...i take it that lot's incest with his daughters...is okay, just cause it's in the bible?

I just wonder why there are two distinct sexes, if men are supposed to be with men and women with women.

What happened to procreation?

Now that is absurd to say that Lots incest was ok just because it is in the bible. Every imaginable evil that has been done has been recorded in the bible. It doesn`t make it good and right. These things are written for our learning that we should learn from examples good and bad. You are way smarter than that.

so do you think sex is strictly for procreational reasons? and would that then make masturbation wrong, as well?

yes, but you point out that an entire city was destroyed for homosexuality. maybe it should have been for the incest, instead.

I'm not sure I agree that it's "morally wrong," except in cases where people choose to practice homosexuality (for whatever reason) rather than if they are, in fact, homosexual.

Case in point: two presumably straight or "bisexual" women "performing" on each other as "entertainment" for a man. That is not true homosexualty, IMO.

I do believe that there are those who are inherently, genetically, homosexual, however. You can tell by their mannerisms and speech and by the specific things they say that there's something that's "abormal" about them. So, while I personally don't "condone" it, and I do think it's a genetic "flaw," for lack of a better word, I also cannot condemn someone for having a disorder that they cannot help but have. It's no different than condemning someone for having schizophrenia or for having MPD or bipolar or depression or whatever...there's something "wrong" with them, just like I think there's something "wrong" with the genetic wiring of those who are homosexual. This will no doubt piss some people off, but I don't care. That's the way I see it and I mean no disrespect; i.e., if it were "the norm," they'd be hetereosexual.

The incest you are speaking of happened after the city was destroyed. When Lot ond his two daughters were already gone out of Sodom and Gomorrah. His daughters got him drunk on two successive nights and lay with him. The point is this was after the city was destroyed.

I will not judge it for it is not my place to judge. The bible tells you not to judge and that God will make that judgement.

I think we were orginally designed to procreate, not saying having sex and not producing offspring is wrong..........

When the bible says that you are not to judge, what do you think it means? Do you make judgements every day? Of course you do. The bible also says to make righteous judgements. So now I guess we are at a quandry. In the passage you are referring to, it is understood that the meaning is that we aer not to condemn. We have to make judgements about everything we think, say, and do.

but there's a lot more to survival of a species than reproduction. you can produce offspring & that offspring not survive. there is some research which shows that homosexual men are more likely to have an older brother due to what is called transcription factors. that means that something in the environment triggers a proclivity in the dna to make something so.

why would the environment of an older brother enhance the probability of a male to be homosexual? because more males were needed to protect the clann or tribe than would also be able to reproduce -- it took more spears to protect fewer chillen. thus, w/fewer offspring to protect & nurture, the ones who were born had a better chance of surviving.

there is never a simple one stop answer to anything that exists in the universe. there is science. there is morality. there is mystery.

Also, God has already made that judgement on homosexuality.

Revelation 21:8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

I know what you are saying.

However, if men and women did not procreate, who would be here?
