They often say that the best things in life are free.

I think what they really mean to say is that the best things simply aren't available at ANY PRICE!

I received a postcard in the mail today from a politician who said the following:

"I stand for family values because I know that the real value of life is not in out material possessions but in the love of our spouse and children"

I wonder if he had any forethought at all that a lot of people he might be sending that to don't have a spouse or children. Like where does that leave single people who have no children?

Based on his quote then my life has no value. Actually, he might have a point! But how do you acquire a family? You can't buy one with money because they are FREE! Right?

Well, if they're so frigg'in free then why don't I have one?

Looking at another thread, I'm thinking it's because women would rather hook up with abusive men. dunno

Seeing the sunset....watching it rise...taking time to
smell the roses.....breathing in the fresh scent of the air
after it rains.....best things...simple things...free....not
sure....I'd rather think they are priceless. You can't put a
value on it.....just take the time to enjoy it which many of
us fail to do.
Being single does'nt exclude you from this catch phrase....
after all you are someones child.....However I'm sure this
politician did'nt think things through or he -she may have
seen the negativity in the add.

Personally, I think you'll make someone a great catch when
they catch you abra......just sit back and wait to be reeled
in...you might put up a struggle.....just not to much of a
fight or the line might break......hug

And here's how to get them! Send $29.95, plus shipping and handling, to:

its sad that most people dont see what is free in life and dont have a big price tag attached.
The gift to laugh and make others laugh too is free.

rolling on the floor laughing Agreed. Heres another freebie, your free to change your mind about woman, then maybe the FREE family might happen.

Right now it appears your charging to much for your opinions about woman, and being on a dating site? LOL, I for one can't afford to pay that kind of price for opinions about myself, even if they ARE wrong. JMO.....sticking out tongue

Insensitive people, are you surprised that a politician tries to cater to what he "thinks" is the majority of the voters?

He is really catering to people who have no real money because most people don't. He says his material possessions are not really of value in his life, but I bet he has a four or five-bedroom, 3 bathroom house with a huge kitchen and that he and his wife have at least three very nice cars.

I'm sick of seeing the politician posing with his large extended family on tv. I've never had any of that. Growing up without a father a long time ago was not so common. Being forced every Father's Day to make a stupid gift in school was humiliating. I believe that made the teachers insensitive too.

By the way, having a family is far from free.

Maybe some women hook up with bad men, but not all.

Smiles are free but they need to come from within. You can force and fake them, but what good does that do?

>>>"I stand for family values because I know that the real value of life is not in our material possessions but in the love of our spouse and children"<<<

Political Diversion Tactics.. In other words Even tho your working poor and have no health care and are taxed to death by our country. These things matter not.. Because what's most important is the love of your spouse and children..

Yeah none of it matters to them because they are not one of the working poor. This kinda stuff boils my blood... And what's even worse no matter who wins the elections.. The working poor continue to be the working poor..

Well, don't look at me. I was totally sickened by the other thread too. It was, in part, what sparked me to start this thread.

In short, being an honest sincere person just doesn't seem to cut it. If the best things in life are free (meaning a spouse and children), is seems that the lowest of slime balls are the ones being bestowed with these free gifts.

And now, not only don't I have someone to love, but you want to smack me too. Now, I'm really upset. crying
