In my country only VIP's are given licensed guns, but I cannot imagine a country where schools have armed forces..If I were a child I would never go to such a school..its so scary to even imagine..I don't know where we are leading...Are these all the cons of a developed country??If yes then I would be happy to be living in a developing or under developed country!!Crime is one of the biggest problems in today's world..who knows in 2020 we might be wearing bullet proof jackets...sooo sad help

Conrad73: say WHAT?????????????????????????????
You really don't get it,do you!
What are you going to do if someone is trying to kill you?
Submit?
So,you believe that your Life is worth less than the one of those that are trying to kill you?

Its not me who doesnt get it. Guns are MADE to maim and kill, people should not have the means to do either of these things readily available to them.

Glatlol: To me that statement and your stand on guns dont go together at all, polar opposite in fact.Enjoy your massage.

try this if an Inuit wants to make an iglue, today he/she is going to buy a big knife to facilitate the operation. That knife is made and used to kill too.

My guns are made for sport AND hunting. but I don't eat what I kill. Farmers and airport operations are glad to se me arrive and exterminate the ground hog and deer populations that overrun their properties..... sometimes we hunt coon for pelt too..... certainly not to eat.

I think bowling pins would prefer being hit by .44, .45 .40 and even .22 caliber bullets instead of bowling balls. bullets recycle and turn them into more useful items.... toothpicks. yay

See you .......
peace

ali110: Good evening Galrads ,Do peoples need a Licence to own a Gun in usa ?

In some states you do need a license. Here, in NJ you need one. They call it a "buyer's permit", but it is a license. Technically it means you can own a gun, but it gives the police a way to arrest you if you are caught carrying it in your car when you're not on your way to the shooting range or have good reason for having it in the car.

rizlared: SO who is going to pay for them Tim?? YOU?? Of course not, so they will reduce the salary of the teachers, who in turn will stop teaching, America will become a land of ignorance and stupidity, or maybe it is already????
You who support the NRA are doing exactly what you complained the Dems are doing, kowtowing to the powerful business's who will lose money if weapons are better regulated.

Face up to your responsibilities, and get a better more modern regulatory system in place for owning guns, simple really!!

not unlike most states, in nj a license is not required to purchase and own a firearm. Actually .....

It is the responsibility of the seller of the firearm to ascertain that the buyer has a Firearms Purchaser Identification Card plus one additional form of identification and a completed Certificate of Eligibility. A Certificate of Eligibility can be obtained at any licensed firearms dealer.

A Permit to Purchase a Handgun must be completed on each handgun transferred in this state. It is the responsibility of the seller of the handgun to ascertain that the buyer has a valid Permit to Purchase a Handgun and one additional form of identification. The permit must be completed by the seller and buyer. It is the responsibility of the seller to forward the copies to the appropriate authority. Instructions are printed on the permit.

bob Marley and eric clapton are responsible for the bad images the universe has of gun ownership.

amount of money ($1406022759838) taxpayers in the United States have spent to finance both the War in Iraq ($809699920878) and the War in Afghanistan. Take the money from out of here and use to defend our own people.

Dont talk about me as if I am not here lol.

And I have already explained to you that guns are made to maim and kill, and one of the reasons I have never been to the USA is because people think its ok to have guns around the place and the bowling thing really confuses me, why shoot the pins instead of knocking them down? Thats not the point of bowling.[/quote]

He's being sarcastic G about the bowling thing.

Galrad is wound up in his gun collection. That's the key word "collection". People collect all kinds of things. One might want a Japanese sword hanging on his wall; another one wants the head of large animals (disgusting); another one collects knives; bows & arrows; artwork. The thing is, the collection isn't used to maim and kill. People just want stuff.

Police officers carry a gun. Their sworn motto is "To Serve And Protect The Public". They know the gun on their hip can kill someone but they don't use it unless it falls within the SOP of their job. Think about how many police officers there are in the world who carry a gun. You may walk within three feet of an officer even though you know he carries a gun.

Don't get me wrong. I don't like it that Galrad loves his guns but he's not doing anything wrong. It sounds like he has a lot of guns. The reason he's not one to be reckoned with is because Galrad is harmless that makes his guns harmless. The person that has one gun because he wants to kill someone for the fun of it, is the person to be afraid of.

Although I don't agree with blowing all that money to finance wars in other countries, I would find it ironic that the money be spent to protect their own citizens from one another. The money would be better used to help Americans get back on their feet again. hug

When I think of all that money that was wasted on those two senseless wars when the money could've been put to use to make our country safer.

Maybe the 27 people who died the senseless deaths would still be alive today to enjoy the holidays with their friends and family.

Plus all the other victims of those other senseless mass shootings.

It's a sad day when you don't feel safe in your own country.

galrads: guns are relatively inexpensive here, especially if you cast your own bullets and do your own reloading. Most citizens are required to obtain a permit to conceal carry here. A Federal Firearms License type III is required to own full auto firearms, but that isn't worth it because the possesor of a type-III FFL loses a lot of other constitutionaly guaranteed freedoms.

So the knife is made to do things other than maim or kill a living thing, a gun isnt. Whether a gun is used or not is not the point the point is that they are MADE to maim or kill, again I ask why is that so hard to comprehend?
