In your opinion, should age matter?

I dont think it should.
Hmmm... Age doesn't matter, but sometimes maturity does. And that works both ways - I've known very mature 20 year olds and very immature 40 year olds.

Make sense? thumbs up

True statement!!

Not sure how my age appeals to my maturity but it sure is attracted to my insnaity.

At my age, I have learned to enjoy my insanity. laugh

As long as they are happy, what difference is it to you?
What difference is it to me? Well, the question was posed, and I answered it. What difference it makes to ME, specifically, is that I think it's BIZARRE that a mature woman in her 40s would even WANT to have anything to do with an 18 yo KID.

Soo...the only way it wouldn't make much of a difference, I guess..is that either he'd have to be way mature for his age...or she'd have to be way immature for hers.

For most normal people, however, there just isn't much in common. I know there wouldn't be, for me. I'm far too mature for an 18 yo kid.

dunno

It never does in the open mind.

Only when the mind cannot see the true love potential does it matter.

But then its immaterial, as the mind is too closed to see potential

men tend to mature at a slower rate than women by about ten years

The really, really, really nice thing about age is the fact that when one reaches my age, one can say the hell with maturity!! Life is to be lived, it took years to learn that....rolling on the floor laughing

I say to hell with maturity, why should only children enjoy life so much? I have earned my inmaturity, it is mine & I am going to keep it!!sticking out tongue

I think it depends alot on the people involved. I had a long term relationship with a man 10 yrs younger than me and it was great! Unfortunately the time came to either settle down or part ways and we chose the parting of ways! crying But he taught me things and I taught him things that we will both hold on to forever!!! So NO age doesnt matter at all to me

Now this all depends. I know that at 18 a guy isn't going to be very mature. But at 40, if she's hookin' up with an 18 year old kid, she's probably been married once or twice, hooked up with just about every other kind of guy out there, so why not try and spice it up some by "robbing the cradle" if you will.

I know it wouldn't technically be called an Oedipus Complex, but there are a few women out there that do kind of have that sick fantasy and make it their own reality by chasing guys more than half their age. I'm 24, but if an attractive 50 year old woman were to come up to me (again) if it felt right, I'd do it. But that's just me.
