It is from me people, Gwyneth Paltrow has been bad mouthing her native America, By branding her fellow Americans uncivilised and arrorgant, She said us Brits were far more interesting, She likes living here because she does not fit into the bad side of American psychology, She said the British are much more intelligent and civilised than the Americans, She loves the English lifestyle it's not as capitalistic as America, People talk about interesting things at dinner-not about work and money, I think Gwyneth Paltrow is a top woman...wine yay

Just like any other country you will always find the good, the bad and the ugly. I do not like to generalize therefor I will never disrespect a whole country just for a few bad apples.

Sure I do not agree with G.W Bush and for the life of me can not stand to see his ugly face BUT I don't think its fair to criticize the americans just for his stupid mistakes and doings either.

Everyone is responsible for their own actions. And again its not just the USA who is responsible.

Oh and for someone to go and insult their own country and fellow civilians is no better than anyone else if you ask me.

What she said was just as arrogant and ignorant as anything else.

F**K Gwyneth Paltrow...who the hell is she but a two bit actress...who gives a flying fat rats ass about what she thinks. People think because they are in a movie that makes them an authority on culture or religion? Right....She can keep her ass in England. As an American that is her right...and I support it.....very mad

Far more interesting = less familiar, to her
Uncivilized and arrogant = her arrogance in making the statements
Not as capitalistic? With petrol and fag prices alone that's an odd comment.

Perhaps you should have posted what she actually said instead of paraphrasing as well.

That's kinda like me standing up and declaring that Oklahoma is the very best state in the country. I fully ecpect that I would be told otherwise. Because you see, it is my opinion. We all have them. So, good for her. I hope she is happy and stays that way.

A few months ago she said the streets in london were filthy, Anyway the best radio presenter in London Bam Bam he done a breakfast show for kiss fm he has now left, he has a sidekick who worked on the streets and done mad things, His name was Streetboy, They hear what Lady Paltrow said so Streetboy went to her street one morning with some cleaning machines while doing a live broadcast, He spent an hour cleaning the sidewalk outside her house, He then rang her bell and said because you said the streets were dirty i have come and cleaned them for you will you come out and inspect it and see if it is to your liking she refused, so Bam Bam in the studio then told Streetboy to go and buy some breakfast bring it to the street he had just cleaned and eat it off the sidewalk to see if it was good and clean, Streetboy ate his breakfast off the sidewalk outside Lady paltrow's house, So there you go she upsets us Londoner's toolaugh

You're also drawing on 2 sources, not one. This isn't the first time she's bashed the U.S.

"NS" the weekend magazine supplement of daily Portuguese newspaper Diario de Noticias is where some comes from.

You left out the important stuff as well, like ... "I love the fact that you can hail a taxi and just pick up the pram and put it in the back of the cab without collapsing it." - rivetting stuff indeed

"She's like an older sister. Everything I have gone through, she went through ten times worse and ten times longer. She gives me good advice about how to say no and take care of myself," - referring to Madonna

Another media hound shining the public on, big whoop.

I'm very happy to see that you would put so much merit in what an actress has to say about her own country as well as yours...Having personal friends form Britain, I can assure you that all british people don't carry the pompous attitude that you obviously do.
I'm not saying that I agree with many of the attitudes that "Some" Americans carry...and no.. that all British don't carry yours. Although am seeing that the ones that are not so narrow minded and have a reasonable amount of intelligence are the ones I choose to associate with...
I'm sorry that you have this affliction...maybe with time you can get over it.....wine
I'll pray for your recovery

Well you have just dismissed civilized, as well as that whole intelligent bit, you're topics are lacking as well and you aren't as much as aware what was said or where.

You have just about dimissed everything you found to make her a "top woman" in her comments with your comments as they would apply to you.

grin cheers

Correct me if I am wrong - what with not being a psychologist and all - but is resorting to name calling not the first step in realizing that one is losing an argument or debate?

Don't think nothing of what he said, for he KNOWS NOT WHAT HE DOES (or says), as he doesn't have the brains God gave a goose.
