it annoys me that we all dont look like models or were not that gorgues .but its what its in the inside that counts... times are changing noone goes for personality any more...if your not good looking or working your not worth knowing...my mum always said its on the inside what counts not the outside...
Sorry to disagree with the OP, but a LOT of men are intimidated by attractive women and won't even approach them at all. And I am sure there are a lot of us who are sick and tired of hearing, "You are too good for me." I just wish they had a bit more confidence in themselves. Of course, women do it too. My brother has gotten that line before as well.

I also agree with your mum "the inside what counts not the outside", but who cares nowadays, technology and internet provides us a nice way to communicate and know each other, but unfortunately we're in a market, pictures beside pictures, and everyone is scrolling to choose, nobody cares or have the time to see the inside. professor

Along the lines of looks, does anyone really know what most people, especially women, really look like any more? I am so disgusted by all the fakeness any more, (nails, hair, boobs, lips, just about anything any more) I prefer to find people who are so ashamed of themselves that they can actually face the world as they are. Shows a heck of a lot more confidence that a caked face or over inflated boobs. When I see a woman completely done up, I have gotten into the habit of tallying up everything about her that is fake, and wonder what she ever did to feel such shame about herself, and the way God made her. NOT EVERYONE EVEN WANTS THE STEREOTYPICAL BARBIE OR KEN DOLL. I don't even like it when guys goop up their hair with so much gunk that I can't run my hands through it, so I sure wouldn't use hairspray so they would feel the same way about mine. Same goes for those women who worry about a nail getting broken or their make up smeared. When I find the one, I want to be able to touch him, and let him touch me, without worrying about getting mussed up or any of that hooey.

Jimmy Soul- If You Wanna Be Happy

If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life
Never make a pretty woman your wife
So from my personal point of view
Get an ugly girl to marry you

A pretty woman makes her husband look small
And very often causes his downfall
As soon as he marries her, then she starts
Doin' the things that will break his heart

But if you make an ugly woman your wife
You'll be happy for the rest of your life
An ugly woman cooks your meals on time
An she'll always give you peace of mind

Don't let your friends say you have no taste
Go ahead and marry anyway
Though her face is ugly and her eyes don't match
Take it from me, she's a better catch

I feel blessed with my looks, and I usually downplay them... it really matters to me that people take the time to get to know me past physical appearance. I have invested long hours and many years in developing myself and learning, and trying to be a better person.

I must agree that I am (as many) drawn to attractive people, but their looks are not a guarantee of happiness or worthiness... Past the first impression, attraction or infatuation, the real "test" begins...

sigh
I have often wondered that myself,DessertRose. It is like trying to out do their buddies, when they see them with a women.Your mama says the same things as mine.Looks are not everything!!! I can seeit if a guy takes a lady somewhere, where they should be all dressedup, but still i can't see why it is such an issue. To me, a man is handsome, whatever they may wear, and iam very partial to men in Blue Jeans and Stetsons,of course iam a country girl.Male or Female, beauty is skin deep.Alot of plain women,go un noticed alot, cause their butts aren't tight!! their Tits aren't big and firm or they have a little extra meat on their bones. Some men do tend to seek the Barbie Doll look.mumbling

Ironically, it is those heavier women that most of the men around here are with. Any thin women are assumed to be on drugs or something.
