English is a polyglot mix of many languages! Most languages are a mix of others. Latin is a large part of modern English too. More so in the day to day than Ancient Greek, we get your point. Your post is boring and old. Go away!

figure what? The post is super boring and pointless. Simply, a Greek bloke trying to claim some cultural ownership of the English language, the most widely spoken language on the planet.
Greece is a burden on the European Union and contributes nil.
Modern Greeks are in no way related to Ancient Greece other than a love of olive oil and red wine.
Modern Greece has achieved what? Even the Olympics were a shambles!

scold

Ancient Greeks (along with Romans) did a good job messing up with the great 3,500 year Egyptian dynasties, so do not blame modern Greeks only.

1.- did anybody doubted, that English is widely spoken???
2.- So are a couple of other countries
3.- Modern Greeks are related to Ancient Greece in all aspects
and their language is continuation of Ancient Greek, unlikely
Yours.- ( i tried to find any ancient written British document, before the Romans arrival, and found NON)

4.- All countries are achievers,some a lot,some very little.-
5.- You are right, even Greek Olympics, were beter than the London ones.-
All the Above have nothing to do, with the subject of the Thread.
