I'm just curious did you recieve a notice? ... if they do wanted to fire you,for real. They are suppose do it in advance, I mean to give you two weeks time frame to find another work placement.

Nope, no official notice yet. I work for the Diplomatic Service, for a Foreign Embassy, and this Embassy specially, tends not to comply with the Labor Code. They do not respect the local holidays, nor schedules. And they don't give advance notices. I received a call this morning saying that their Foreign Affairs Ministry was cancelling my contract because the Ambassador was going away on holiday for +2 months... My co-worker also said that the Ambassador was going to try to re-file my contract/application, is not just me, but the Ambassador's chauffeur, the Maitre'D and the gardener, all three of us are fairly new in the service.

So no, no notice and not severance pay either...

I am calling my own Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday...
