For whatever reason there are those that are so offended just by talking about who we believe in and how we apply our beliefs in our life.
I personally believe that my religion whatever it is, is not the problem but it is how we manipulate our greed and interest to achieve our selfish motives through religion.
So here is my question: If the Quran has a provision that states to kill all non islam believers, would it be human for us to abandon that belief and manifest love and peace instead?

Beware: there is a move to caliphate the world.
Quran and Islam don't say to even hurt non believers but if gives rights , respect and protection to all, in the time of holy prophet he allowed and invited the Christians to worship in his mosque and they did, unfortunatly some decieved evil minds are imposing their own hand made theories on other and that's totally wrong , and yes world is not moving to caliphate
I did here hear a Muslim cleric say once, "Words that were written 1400 years ago possibly have no place for modern Man." Same goes for 2000 years ago too. Possibly confusing the Quran with the words of the Prophet are two different writings. I belive it says, "Slay your enemy." This thread is thinly disguised. imo.

This is exactly right. There are so many directives in the Bible that society today absolutely would NOT abide by, or adhere to. Do we expect child-bearing-age women to leave their families for a week or so each month, and live apart, hiding their faces and speaking to no one, during menses? Why of course not. Do we expect minor crimes to be dealt with by severing their limbs and torturing them in public squares? Of course not. Do we find out who the people are who are playing at fortune cards, such as Tarot, reading Zodiac signs, and following Chinese Fortune cookie numbers to be decapitated in the public square? Of course not. All these are directives from the Bible. We either have a loving God or we don't. Can't have it both ways.
DertyHarry44: Religion and religious people not great at all
is nothing but mind control since religion was created
So many are so mixed up about it--The "God" thingie is personal, and is different for each person. What might be "right" or "wrong" for one person is the opposite for another. There are no blanket policies, with the exception of golden rules: You don't kill except in self defense, you don't take what isn't yours, you don't lie*, etc...
*I believe there are some instances where lying is not wrong. JMO

It's the same God is it not?, of Moses, of Abraham? If you want to compare slaughter between the two Religions it would be a lengthy thread wouldn't it? These threads have a definite swing to the side by OP, the only thing is, other than Mr. Ali who points out the goodness, the other side is not heard. imo.

Tell me more. I don't know where you're coming from.

Just coming from the Blogs which is confrontational so forgive the stance, where your post was not. I just read the opening statement of OP and it is consistent with similar Threads and Blogs is all, very one sided, and verging on bashing.
yes ignorance is the lack of factual knowledge backed by research and discovery of traceable proof. No most people can be shown a documet and simply discard it because they are prone to live in denial. Denial created by themselves, by their choices. Rather than read the documents and research the information for themselves, they just allow the group collective to spew and spew and accept the group think. Which is why mass hysteria can actually formulate and grow. Ignorant people spewing opinions based on lies and misinformation. The topic of Religion is so important because it affects peoples lives all over the world, and yet people handle it like its a comic book. Giving little credence to it at all. History has shown time and time again - 'gods' and 'satanism' are two of the most rooted and fundamental belief systems across 85% of the worlds populations, in peoples mental capacities and hearts. Dent it or trivilaize it, and you do more harm to people who listen when they should be investigating religion since it is a very powerful force in politics, wars, deciesions of life and death. Believe or not....the vasr hugely vast majority swear by a religious ideology. And pushing the rhetoric only makes one look rather ignorant to the rest of the worlds population. Looking stupid and being a fool is easy- the worlds flat, the sun revolves around the earth, the earth is the center of the universe. Politicians are honest and have your best interest at heart.
... to add Ro, a bit mentally drained here, especially from two fingered typing Gosh this place is draining sometimes, I would rather have a good laugh
