I would go into the future, about a week would do...get the winning combination to the Super Lotto and return to my real time...buy a ticket.
Then I'd buy and move to a remote tropical island ungoverned by any nation, and finally get to live in peace and not have to put up with all the crap going on in the world.

hmmmm...interesting and difficult question. So many interesting times and places, but I can definitely see myself doing the Indiana Jones sidekick thing, treasure hunting in 1940s Africa and Tibet...plus I like the fashions back then.
