serene56: Loving this American production, does anyone else enjoy it

Some very interesting & inspirational recipes, some of which I've used professionally..
Nevertheless, often it's more style over substance but I find the Aussie chefs create some exiting fusions, where East meets west. wave hug

I do know what you're talking about there. I have seen one of those programmes with the kids on....yep, put me to shame watching them.

I like cooking and baking, but some of those kids seem to have a natural flair for being in the kitchen from the get-go. wave

serene56: I repeat, gimme!

hahaha NO

Step one:

Step two:
open one packet containing two 500g bags flour, one one those weight out 250 gram of flour.

Step three:
Put ground-mix-dried-fruit and 180g of warm water into electric mixer/beater bowl.

Step four:
Pour the 250g flour into the warm water mix into quite wet batter.

Step Five:
Pour batter into baking dish. I sit in pre-warmed microwave oven (turned Off) for 1/4 hour then place baking dish in my very nice must have object of considerable desire
Cuisinart CSO300NXA Steam & Convection Oven

The Bread setting in that lovely object of considerable desire steams the loaf for six minutes, then will bake the loaf at 200 deg for thirty minutes. gimme gimme is as far away as butter on golden bread...

Happy Chief essentials:
Cuisinart CSO300NXA Steam & Convection Oven
Meet the first compact oven with steam technology! The Cuisinart Steam + Convection Oven combines a full-featured convection oven with a steaming function. Steam heat cuts cooking time by as much as 40%. Choose from 9 single and combination functions. Steam or poach any type of vegetable, fish, poultry or rice, use steam in combination with both Grill and Bake functions to create roasts that are beautifully browned on the outside, yet moist and juicy on the inside. Or proof bread dough in the oven, then bake with steam for an artisan-style loaf with a crisp, golden-brown crust.

Bit of over kill on this one but does good job:

Professional Stand Food Multi Mixer
Feature: 12-level speed control,Includes flat beater, dough hook and wire whip.

Maxim GB270 Electric 260W Grinder/Blender

Grinds spices and coffee beans, purees baby food, makes bread crumbs, blends milkshakes, chops nuts, herbs or salt and whips cream. The grinder blender is quick and easy to use, simply fill the base with your choice of contents, close the lid and place the motor in position on top.

Something which would improve cooking shows from America, every time somebody says Cilatro it should cut to a shot of Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull sitting at his desk with the Australian flag in the background, and he takes his glasses off slowly and says "he means coriander".

And when they say jus or reduction, Mal should shake his head and say "he means sauce or gravy".
