Two days ago, at one in the morning, in Silver Spring, MD a 4 story apartment building exploded and burned. The force of the explosion was sufficient to also demolish the apartment building across the courtyard.
Over 30 were injured, dozens are homeless and at least 3 are confirmed dead. Because the remnants of the structure is so unstable, removal of debris is going slowly as several people are still missing and believed to be somewhere under the rubble.
The cause of the explosion has not yet been determined. My personal speculation is a gas leak, but it will be a few days before the definitive answer is unveiled.
Scary too. 1AM, most are asleep. You think you are safe in your bed, then suddenly the bed, you and everything else is being blown through the ceiling and the roof. We look at the photos and see steel fire doors found hundreds of feet away. Interviews with residents show many have lost everything, either because it is buried under rubble, or because it all then burned.

Between that and the guy south of me falling into a sink hole with house while he was sleeping (never to be recovered) I am beginning to feel sleeping is not really healthy. To many tragedies. I know I shouldn't but I hate gas lines. They send us out a map once a year to give us an estimated idea where they are located. And suggest before digging deep check with city. Estimated? Why did they grow legs and move after being put there?

It really isn't needed to hand copy the original post in entirety, The users can see it, so why waste bandwidth?
Weeks later the official body count is now 8 including some children killed in their beds, and the cause is indeed determined to be something called a pressure spike in the gas line or accidental.

I replied in the normal way and it did that , wondering what it will do this time . Call it paranoia , caused by being here , I don't wholly trust the reports that's its domestic gas .

rizlared: Blame the British government, it seems they are to blame for most of these kind of tragic events.
In all honesty I thought my gov was bad but after listening to some episodes of LBC radio about politics in your country. I am actually embarrased for the both of us. That May woman is useless. What they did with that Charlie baby was a disgrace. Corbyn taking pictures with young guys celebrating how college debt would be back to zero and then it turns out it was a lie. Shameful behaviour!

The EU wanting to hold the UK hostage forever.
Its madness really
I dunno, I've read a bit about 'karma' and I can;t help wonder if Britain is being paid back for all the atrocities it has been part in as it previously rampaged across the world imposing it's will and way on others.
Just take India as an example ... colonised, freed without violence by Ghandi and now TATA own the entire British Steel industry ( such as it is) as well as a number of 'British' premium car brands and etc?
Could that be karma at work on a grand scale?
If it IS then I dread to think what the US may have in it's future ...

A gas leak was supposedly the cause of an explosion of a house, for the police. This happened days before the terrorist attack in Barcelona.
When policemen and firemen tried to take the debris, there was a second explosion that injured seven of them.
Finally there was found that it was a homemade explosive laboratory which also stocked more than 100 gas bottles. There was a survivor and two dead, all of them related to the terrorist group that finally could not attack with bomb.
