Trump: 'There’s nothing like doing things with other people’s money' By LOUIS NELSON 09/20/16 06:04 PM EDT
Donald Trump, in hot water over a report that his charity used donations to cover business-related legal fees, told a campaign rally crowd on Tuesday that “there’s nothing like doing things with other people’s money.”
The comment about “other people’s money” came during a campaign rally in North Carolina, where Trump pledged to keep refugees from the Middle East out of the U.S. and instead put them in “safe zones” that would be built with money from Gulf nations. It is a financial maneuver the real estate mogul said he has performed many times throughout his career.
“It’s called OPM. I do that all the time in business. It’s called other people’s money. There’s nothing like doing things with other people’s money,” Trump said. “Because it takes, the risk, you get a good chunk of it and it takes the risk. We’re going to do this, in this case, from a humanitarian standpoint. OPM: other people’s money.”
Under a Trump administration, the Gulf states would not be the only foreign countries on the hook to pay for the Manhattan billionaire’s proposals. From the very beginning of his campaign, Trump has pledged to build a wall along America’s southern border and force Mexico to pay for it. During Trump’s visit to Mexico last month, Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto said his nation would not pay for the wall. Trump said the subject of who would pay was not discussed during their meeting.
The former reality TV star made his promise to use “other people’s money” on the same day The Washington Post published a story accusing Trump of spending $258,000 from his charitable foundation to settle lawsuits involving his other businesses.
I suppose this OPM also includes our tax dollars to build his so-called wall that ONLY HE WANTS???The majority of Americans have no desire for a wall, and this also includes the majority of his supporters, he asked at one of his rallies two weeks ago, and they all disagreed with him when he asked if they wanted a wall, the majority booed and said NOOO WALL!... but how sad can this dude be, as well as being totally insane
Those figures are chicken feed. The Clinton Foundation on the other hand has been shown by the IRS to have stolen millions.
"Just 5.7 percent of the Clinton Foundation’s massive 2014 budget actually went to charitable grants, according to the tax-exempt organization’s IRS filings. The rest went to salaries and employee benefits, fundraising and “other expenses.” The Clinton Foundation spent a hair under $91.3 million in 2014, the organization’s IRS filings show. But less than $5.2 million of that went to charitable grants. That number pales in comparison to the $34.8 million the foundation spent on salaries, compensation and employee benefits. Another $50.4 million was marked as “other expenses,” while the remaining almost $851K was marked as “professional fundraising expenses.”
Because the mainstream media supports Hillary, we never hear of her criminal activities but we do get to hear the slightest suspect thing about Trump.
The Clinton Foundation is also under investigation for another charity scam.
"Former President Bill Clinton and his Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) distributed “watered-down” HIV/AIDs drugs to patients in sub-Saharan Africa, and “likely increased” the risks of morbidity and mortality, according to a draft congressional report obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation. The congressional report,“The Clinton Foundation and The India Success Story,” was initiated by Rep. Marsha Blackburn, a Tennessee Republican and vice-chair of the House Energy and Commerce Committee. The CHAI program to help AIDS victims is considered one of the Clinton Foundation’s most important contributions and is probably its best known initiative. The congressional report focused on Clinton’s decade-long relationship with a controversial Indian drug manufacturer called Ranbaxy, which CHAI used as one of its main distributors of HIV/AIDS drugs to Third World countries."
Really, anyone who gets their info from the mainstream news is just being fed a bunch of propaganda...

Trump is so going to get assassinated. The American public don't have the endurance or discipline to hook the gulf states, gulf politics can afford to be infinitely more ruthless and barbaric, and if Trump treats Americans in a similar way to how the middle east treats the middle easterner then he will be shot inevitably.

Brits have taken a hit with the Brexit vote but it came from the heart and that's why we don't mind independence costing us money.
With Trump this will go too far. There will be Brexit-style consequences all the time only more severe and less necessary to begin with. If Trump is serious he will very soon exhaust the willpower of America.

I suppose Trump believes he can re-capture the old position and make much of the globe subservient to and dependent on America to the extent it was before. Achieving this would require Stalin levels of ruthlessness and a huge sacrifice from the American public.

In a similar measure to re-capture the British empire I propose that all commonwealth nations slash wages by 60% and shoot the disabled. Let's up our game.

Hm. Tho if there was one thing which can truly transform the economic outlook in western nations then that one thing is widespread euthanasia. Just a thought for anyone seriously contemplating making the country great again.
