chris27292729: My ironing is done by a friend, who runs a tailoring+ altering shop.
""Traditional""??? You cannot expect a working woman to do all
house jobs, while her husband is unemployed.

I've always been the breadwinner in my household , and although I did the majority of the cooking, the household chores were done by my significant other, which was very appreciated , I must add... handshake

One2note: How domesticated are you??
Personally , I couldn't survive without a woman, whether it be a partner or a helping hand, but I've noticed that many men can.. In fact, some do their own washing & ironing & some actually Hoover & dust... If this is in fact the case, then what is the woman's role in the relationship??

Just to let you know, when the hubby retired she said her new job was to sleep in, read books, and have fun with her friends: while I was still working fulltime and bringing home the pork slices.

So sometimes having a woman does not mean you don't have to do your own ironing, etc. The secret ingredient to getting some women to do things for you is, perhaps, love dunno

In todays day and age many women want to be like us men: hunting, fishing, playing golf, and riding motorcycles. We have to learn to do our own domestic stuff...some even expect men to do the washing, ironing, hoovering & dusting as a sign of our love for them.grin

During the summer, I painted fences etc, and cleared out my entire garden.

Do you think I should have waited for a man to do it for me instead, to avoid unequal division of labour? hmmm

Do you have a man? conversing

The point is: if someone is at home full time while the other partner is at work full time, do you expect the one at work to come home and do everything for themself?

Of course not.

But I presume the person is at home because there are small children there.

And if there are, then I would expect the other partner to do their fair share when they do get home.
