Disgusting to kick and trip a desperate refugee carrying a child to the ground as well as kicking a young girl. The camera woman who did this was sentenced, but did she get off too lightly?
Good to see that the man she kicked is now living happily in Spain with his family and has a new life as a football coach A Spanish football academy heard the news that he had been a coach for al-Fotuwa, a first-division football team in Syria, before the civil war forced his family to flee their home and reached out to him offering to bring him and his family to Spain and help him rebuild his career as a football coach.

He was not a refugee, maybe you could google - he was a member of a terrorist organisation Al Nusra. Even if we disregard that, he was not a refugee, Hungary is nowhere near the country he is from, so he does not fit the UN definition of a refugee.
That said, I do not thing what she did was right, but only because he had a child with him.

Well, that is the first I have heard of that. So I did as you said and googled. I found very little to link him to that group. This is from the Independant.co.uk:
"He said he joined peaceful demonstrations against Bashar al-Assad’s government during the 2011 Arab Spring and then had to resign from his position with the regime’s sport federation.
During the backlash sparked by László’s case, critics accused him of supporting the al-Qaeda-linked Jabhat al-Nusra rebel group but Mr Mohsen denied the allegations, which appeared to stem from a Facebook picture incorrectly thought to display the group’s flag.
“I just want a better life,” he said. “I just want to live peacefully with my family and my friends.”
I don't know whether he has terrorist links or not, but I do know that there are people who peacefully demonstrated against the Syrian government in 2011 who are still locked up without trial in inhumane conditions.
Whether he has terrorist links or not, that camera woman was kicking and tripping up refugees and she was wrong.

There are other articles, with pictures of the man carrying weapons.
Again I am not trying to make excuses for her, but I am just wondering what kind of man leaves his wife and daughter behind?
They were in circumstances that we will never ever understand, thankfully.
Even where there is no war, but poverty, mothers and fathers often leave their kids behind when they go abroad to work to earn money to give the kids a better life than they had. They give up their life with their kids to give their kids a better life.

Probably about right in fairness. I think there are worse things being done and people not serving jail time although its hard to compare different jurisdictions.
There's a huge amount of propaganda out there some from individuals, some from more scary sources Was reading yesterday the BBC are starting a Fact Checking section for news stories. That should be interesting.

Real journalists for proper newspapers always check their sources.
Social media has diluted the truth to be practically irrelevant.
I would love if Facebook lost that case, it might stop people making up lies and sharing untruths.
Yes, you are right, not in Syria but in Turkey. One has to wonder why the women should stay where it is supposedly dangerous while the fit, healthy males, instead of fighting for their country, flee to Europe! Interesting that no one wants (is admitted) to go to the rich Gulf states.

Not sure which proper newspapers you are referring to, the established newspapers, media in general, have proved their bias and have also published a lot of lies.

Yeah, me too. It is too easy to make stuff up nowadays.
But I think its also some of the MSM. Murdoch with the Sun, the Times and Fox News amongst others and has had unreal access to Prime Ministers in the UK going back decades. He has influence and has been accused of using that influence in the past.
I like to stick to the BBC, The Guardian and The Washington Post. Our own Times and Independent are pretty good in fairness. Sometimes opinion pieces are slanted, but that's what opinion pieces are for I suppose, to challenge us. It is also worth checking their stories, especially the sensational ones, on other sites at times as I don't think anyone is infallible.

Most Syrians were living regular middle-class 2-car, livestyles. They would not want to live under the oppressive regimea on Saudi Arabia any more than the rest of us would.
However, most refugees have gone to other ME countries such as Lebanon and Jordan. That is of course not highlighted in the west.

I check most things in a few sources.
But yes I agree, broadsheets are generally more trustworthy. I don't touch tabloids anyway, they annoy me.
