Occasionally perfect sounding women approach me at this site. Sometimes they have a really nice photographs, but most of the times their profile has no image. The emails that I receive are complimentary and very eager to offer their email addresses while asking for mine. I'm skeptical about these all to eager women because their emails are non-specific about who they are writing to, and the email system through CS works very well already. It seems as if they type a message that can be sent to many men and they sit back and collect the email addresses that start pouring in for some other type of use. Is this some sort of scam to get email addresses from unsuspecting singles? Has anybody followed through with this perfect person approach and received junk mail soon afterwards?

I've had overseas men offer me their emails and phone number on first contact - I usually don't follow-up!

I know that in certain countries white males are in high demand, especially if they are blonde with blue eyes - such charactistic demonstrates wealthiness! I won't specify which countries - due to the fact that I would not want to offend anyone!

i get bunches of them.

most i go ahead and give out my address to, but not all...and i have had some fascinating conversations with people from around the world. most were completely above-board.

i mean...what can they do to you with just your email? if you are so worried about spam, set up an account JUST for your cs friends...so you can speak on messenger with them.

If it sounds like mass mail, it is probably a scam. Just for the sake of giving everybody the benefit of doubt, respond once, be specific, if their answer still sounds non specific about the person they are writing too, just block the user from contacting you. You sound like a smart man.

Or try setting up a separate messenger account...

Wish you luck!

Well, I feel that I am far from perfect. I am impressed with the theory and implications as to how this could be a "SCAM".
It could very well be for some people and how you could prove or claim such a "Scam" would easily be
proven if you were harassed by spam mail, receiving more than your usual.

Then there are woman, like me, that are nervous because we haven't dated in so long that we aren't quite sure what to say when we introduce ourselves, so informally.

Rather we say or give a quick Hello, wink, and/or a Hey to get the shyness or nervous hellos out of the way. With the hopes that the man will break the barrier and make us feel more comfortable and return a more productive letter. Building up to a climax or relationship, whatever that maybe.

In most cases I am sure these women are just as selective as men are while probing through these types of sites. Trying to be selective for quality, not quantity.

As you have received many "Hello's", I have and I am quite certain that others have as well, yet on a site such as this one, I would consider it to be "Normal."

As for giving out our e-mail addresses. That is simple. It is so frustrating to go back and forth between emails on the site. As it is time consuming and much simpler if you can send a quick email or IM to someone. Just to save a little time, as my time is precious. I don't have much of it and would like to utilize the time I do have constructively. So people Invite each other to an IM also to gain more knowledge about the other party, I know I would rather hear about you from your mouth (so to speak) rather than a profile. There is more to a person than a profile.

I hope I helped you with this issue and you gained a better understanding.
