What´s the meaning of your life, or anyone elses life?

Does it really have a profound meaning at all, or are we just ants running around?

I´m curious...I have my own ideas but...what´s yours?
Without seeking sympathy or any sort, I feel my life is meaningless and I debate wether or not I should take as many sleeping pills as I should, Play chicken with cars on the freeway, or buy a gun and kill myself.

Although there is a part of me that is very religious and I feel God keeps me from it. Comming to know God, which no one will believe from my own testimony, tells me that our purpose is to be servents of the Lord, to find our deepest desires in turn and enjoy life. By servents, people think you miss out on things, but in reality, you are gaining. People often feel as though they are missing out on life, by not making mistakes they later regret. Others can make mistakes, and learn from them, being grateful for the opportunities they were given to realize.

I am going to end up making this into a long thing and this might not all make sense because I have a lot to say and trying to add supporting information or thoughts as you will, in this. But Life was created for purpose, as nothing that is created is without purpose. Man was obviously created, and identified by intelligent design. All things, from pure to man made are created with purpose. Even a piece of trash was created for use. If anything, religion makes sense to me for purpose. Otherwise we are wasting our lives doing things, working and such, that we cannot take with us in death. So if I had not come to see this, I would have already killed myself long ago. Because I would not want to live a life without "True" purpose. I would simply be a creature that feeds off things and takes all for granted.

The End (Yeah, I know I talk too much) Point made

Of course they're about ourselves. We don't know our own answers, how could we possibly know everyone elses.

No one can control another persons reality. Life is reality for each and every unique individual on the planet.

So our meanings are going to be different

No absolutely not.
I believe that all our souls are connected in some way and that we live our lifes many times, depending on what experience we need to continue our journey.
Or maybe my life here is to help someone that later on will have a child that will have ideas that can change the world.

But I think we are here for a purpose, and if we don´t get that experience our souls are aiming for, we will just live it all again, exactly the same as it was this time.

you have a purpose; you just don't know what it is yet, and may never fully know. I know I don't, but I've become more comfortable with that the older I get. It's not for me to worry about, what my "purpose" is. I am here, I have a reason for being so. Doesn't always feel like it, to say the least, and I'm not entirely happy about it, 24/7.

We are only here for a very short time, in the grand scheme of things. To kill oneself is a disruption in the natural order of things; it's screwing with God's plan for our lives.

If you feel your life is meaningless, you should take steps to make it more meaningful.

If you are clinically depressed, you should seek counseling.

Or maybe you're simply just waxing eloquent on the subject.

Either way, I, for one, am glad you're here. You write much for one to reflect upon.

Hey thanks, although I won't kill myself. Although I will say death is easy and life is hard. I just hope to God I end up doing something right in my life (That'll make it worthwhile) that will immortalize me in some aspect. That's all I care about.

Random,

You do what you need to do for you. Your God is giving you the strength you need to survive. The rest is up to you.

You have found purpose and meaning, which are both good lessons.

Life is a lesson, Learn it well

Man, Thanks guys. I am going to take a break and get up and do something. I am overly sensative in a sense, and you can laugh if you want, but that brought tears to my eyes. I never met such a wonderful group of people in my life! I wish there was some way to be with you all, where we can all tip a glass and just soak in a positive gathering amongst one another. I haven't been on here that long, but my heart is begining to swell with each of you etched upon the scar tissue I developed over the years. Thanks again... Okay I will be back later, til then you can laugh and say "That guy is one big sissy" rolling on the floor laughing I know I would.

The meaning of life as seen through the eyes of a somewhat silent member of CS. Ask the person above or below me what the meaning of life is.

This is my life motto - I have always tried to live by it and have always fallen short of it

I expect to pass through this world but once;
any good thing therefore that I can do, or any
kindness that I can show to any fellow-creature,
let me do it now; let me not defer or neglect it,
for I shall not pass this way again.
AMEN !!!thumbs up yay cheers

Ecclesiastes 12: 9-14 read as follows

9)And moreover, becuase the preacher was wise, he still touhgt people knowledge; yea, he have good heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs.
10)The preacher sought out to find out acceptable words;and that which was written was upright, even words of truth.
11)The words of the wise are as goads, and nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd.
12)And futher, by these, my son, be admonished; of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.
13)LET US HEAR THE CONCLUSION OF THE WHOLE MATTER; FEAR GOD, AND KEEP HIS COMMANDENTS;FOR THIS IS THE WHOLE DUTY OF MAN.
14)For God shall bring every work into judgement, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

According to Gods word The Holy Bible are the words above, and those words were given to Solomon who was the wisest man to ever have lived. He wrote the books Ecclesiastes, and song of Solomon, as well as mnay of the Proverbs, and some of the Psalms.
Have a good Day, Brad A.professor
