AND, incidentally, MAD respect for the walking away from too much party lifestyle by the age of 20. That is absolutely awesome. I'm 23 now, and I've been out of that since 21. Still do crazy dumb stuff every once in a blue moon, but I started the REALLY crazy stupidity when I was about fourteen... and did it harder than anyone I've ever known who's actually lived to tell the tale. I agree that you're still a bit young for settling down and spending the rest of your life with someone RIGHT THIS MINUTE, but...
When you start dating and drinking and etc. etc. that I can't discuss without my lawyer present - As young as you seem to have, you have a tendency to hit other stages of your life sooner, too. (shrug) A longing for that one person who looks at your whole, horrible, almost inhumane past and says "Look at the persont that resulted from all that... why should it bother me?" is, I think, perfectly natural, and DAMNED respectable.
