from what I've read thus far you have more than enough support to get you through this vicious attack on your personal appearance. I still stand with my original post. ignore the idiot and move on.
they where wrong and if you hold us all accountable for the village idiot ho said it so "harshly" take me off your response list cause Sugarcoating is not my specialty... as i said toughen up cause it will probably not be the last time someone "kicks sand in your face".

you have your support group I hope it is enough to soothe your sensitive nature.
You know I have to say I found humour in that, did I sense a wee bit of sarcasim?.............laugh

The funny part about that comic sketch is that the puny little man goes to a gym works out kicks the big guys ass and gets the beach bunny what a great ending....

Greetings, Asian,

I'm sorry this happened. Please know that most Americans respect others and do not believe in insults or hurtful 'humor.'

It is true that different cultures have different ideas about what is attractive, in the same way that different cultures have some different ideas about religion and the meaning of history.

Please know that you are very welcome here. I wish we had even more people from other parts of the world. And I am glad you posted your picture -- very handsome!

Diversity is strength; conformity is weakness.

Salaam aleikum.

I agree....

You will find that many folks in a public forum like to make rude comments.

Sometimes on purpose and sometimes by accident.

It happen everywhere online where people converse (forums, chatrooms, blogs, etc)

I've been a CS forum member for more than two years. And I've been made fun of, insulted, called old, Gramma, etc. And some of the emails I have received were just plain sick.

But I'm still a forum member because I have friends here.

You will have friends here too if you hang in there and learn to laugh instead of crying.

You will come across people in life that will say what they think without due consideration to the recipient - FACT!

You have two choices.
Take umbrage and sulk
or
you can rise above it, put it down to their ignorance and move on.

If you take umbrage, then they win both ways. They have insulted you and then they see they have insulted you.

I have not read the thread, and neither do I want to.

But grow up, stand up and ignore them. Its the only way!

I'm sorry. but "growing up" has nothing to do with ones feelings being hurt. I am grown up, both body and mind. And ill placed words can and will hurt feelings at times. Man or woman. No one is safe from that.

Kat
But if your feelings are hurt in real life, what do you do?

Do you say to your boss, I quit my job because you hurt my feelings.

Do you say to your partner, "we are finished because you noticed my socks dont match?"

Of course you dont.

So why should this be any different.

I accept that the term "grown up" was misplaced, and I apologise. It was a choice of words that I should have thought about more ... and Kat, you are right with what you say about that term's connotations.

But I still stand by what I say about standing up and moving on.

Life is too short to "suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune" If you dwell on it, it will eat at you.

You are right honey. ""But I still stand by what I say about standing up and moving on.""
And now that you changed the way you wrote it, it is not offensive at all. but...the truth of the matter is, that some will and do take those kinds of remarks to heart. Also depends on things that may have affected them in their childhood. Aaauuunnnd, we should be more careful how we place our words. Thanks denquefever.

I'm very thankfull to all my friends who wrote in my favour and also thanks to all who sent me flowers and mails..hug

For Fallinangel.. is'nt it a good way to keep urself away from a person u dont like instead of insulting by giving some bad comments such in a public place?confused

2ndly i absolutely dont wish tht ppl love me or give me attention all the time..so as u said you cant please all the ppl all the time so who caresD'oh! but no one have rights to insult someone.. i really dont understand from where u gotta point tht many ppl dont like me coz i am dead sure tht with whom i usually chat, they like me and moreover i usually reply only tht posts which started by my friends or someone i know abit tht they are well mannered..

3rdly though english is not my first language but here u cant blame about any language barrier or whatever..i can understand very well what the other person is saying..so i dont think i misunderstood something..

For Firelighter.. Should i laugh on what u said?frustrated Remember,no matter where u are living.Rudeness is never accepted in any society..whether u are living in US or pakistan..tell me if someone give some bad comments then what will u say? this is his right? No man..i can only agree with the statement tht we cant do anything if someone attacked us so the best way is to ignore such people but u cant convinced anyone here tht u are living in a society where everone has a right to say something offensive to anyone..

i never said that you wanted ppl to pay attenting to you at all..

and i dont think its right for someone to insult you the way you were insulted..

again i am SORRY if you thought i was being rude.. i wasnt not trying to be or did i mean anything i said in a mean way

You are crying real tears because someone you never met thinks your picture is ugly?

Ok, there is a problem here.

Go outside, anywhere outside...

and talk to every woman you see.

Many of the women won't want to talk to you,

and that's fine, but if you approach enough of them, some will.

Here's the secret...

The more women you get to talk to you,

the less you will be upset by those who don't.

Continue doing this everyday,

at least until the disapproval of a few people on the internet...

doesn't make you cry.
