Green Mile--I read the book(s). It comes in about 5 volumes with 70-80 pages a book..don't know why they did it that way. I cried after reading the book, but the movie was a little disappointing, but still pretty good.

So, you'd recommend the book over the film then, MB??
I found that with "The Bridges of Madison County" - a love story written by a man, would ya believe!! So it meant it wasn't all twee and flowery and girlie - brilliant!! One of those where you can actually visualise the people, environment, situations, etc - so beautifully written............
Dx.thumbs up wave

ahhh, stephen king! My all time favgrin

Shawshank was excellent. And, so was Green Mile.

The Green Mile books are better only in that there are a very few cool details about the mouse. So, worth the read.

Some of the authors decided to try the old serial books, and Green Mile was a great success. Who woulda thought so much would be in those?

Morgan Freeman was the best in Shawshank. He's just a damned good actor. Who remembers The Electric Company?

That's a tough one, both are classics....I will go with Shawshank, simply because it is more believable.
