I LIKED GREEN MILE SO MUCH BETTER THEN SHAWSHANK, ALTHOUGH SHAWSHANK WAS VERY GOOD, GREEN MILE WENT ONE STEP BETTER. TRYING TO FIGURE THAT THE ( TRIAL TEST) WALK OF THE GREEN MILE, BECAUSE IT SEEMED THEY HAD ONE OF THE GUYS ON THE MILE DO A PRETESTING OF THE CHAIR, I WONDER IF THEY DID THAT SO WHEN IT WAS THEIR TURN TO WALK IT, THEY WOULDNT BE SO NERVOUS CASE THEY ALREADY WALKED THE MILE?REMEMBER? THE ONE THAT WAS SCHEDULE FOR IT WAS TALKING WITH HIS LAYWER OR SOMETHING, AND THEN THE OTHER GUY TOOK THE WALK, WITH HANKS AND THAT OTHER GUY?ANYWAYS, SO YES, GREENMILE

Green Mile--I read the book(s). It comes in about 5 volumes with 70-80 pages a book..don't know why they did it that way. I cried after reading the book, but the movie was a little disappointing, but still pretty good.

they did it as pulp fiction, like back in the 50's.

I found it interesting that way. Green Mile as far as the book goes.
Shawshank's book was awesome too. No loser here!

Intelligent - Shawshank.
Heart tugging - Green Mile.
Both are very excellent films.
Both about looking back and saying "Damn...why did I do that"

That's a tough one, both are classics....I will go with Shawshank, simply because it is more believable.

I like both.."Shawshank" is my favourite..Try to find a copy of "Street Smart", with Morgan Freeman and Christopher Reeves..

Anothe stellar performance for Freeman, as a pimp!!
