In response to:
I just finished "The Secret"......I have the DVD but haven't seen it yet. It's about the Law of Attraction and Manifestation.
I was disappointed that she seems emphasize that all power begins in the self = ego based. She avoids an integral part of the Law and that is God/Spirit.
I like the book. The principle is true. However you must ask of God for your manifestation, state that it has already been accomplish as you invision receicvng it (it has in the Spiritual relm)...and give thanks and praise to God for it's completion. Then just go about life as though it has happened.
That's the REAL Secret!!
What if you don't believe in God? Think out of the box..... God is Love is Buddah is Mohammad is Jesus is Allah is Yaweh is Edoni is The Creator is The Life Force is Energy is Eternity...God is a verb .....When you are Kind, Compassionate and Forgiving....God is shining in YOU.....God is IN YOU ALWAYS. ...
Ask yourself: What religon is LOVE?
Hello,
I will look out for the CD,This is what I think in what religon is Love,
I’m fairly certain that strong a strong religious faith can fulfill the need for romantic love, though I’m not sure that it works the other way around. Very devout people—namely monks, nuns, etc—do not seem to need romantic love; their relationship with God is enough. In fact, their relationship with God also seems to take care of any need to be selfish, have many possessions, or sin in any way. Most people, however, don’t have that sort of relationship with God. They are human and imperfect; they usually desire romantic love. I’m not sure, though, that they all desire religion. I don’t think that religious longing is something that everyone feels. I know that almost all cultures throughout history have created their own religion(s), but I think that there are other reasons for that; it’s not an inherent need for mankind. I think that love is more essential and fundamental for us. More people need love rather than religion.
For those of us who need religion, though, I don’t think that romantic love can fulfill that. Love, as great as it may be, cannot take the place of God. Ideally, the two concepts would be combined in things like the sacrament of marriage. Ideally, love would help you get closer to God and God would help you find and strengthen your love. But, for people who need religion, love cannot take the place of God. Love would feel empty and pointless without Him (life in general would feel empty and pointless without Him). Religious longing comes before all else. However, I don’t think that everyone really feels that longing. Religion is great; it’s just not for everyone.
