What a good question, my friend. I have never done it, but always wanted to. I have a bit of a rebellious, non-conformist streak in me and have always wanted to just "up sticks" and bugger off somewhere else, start a fresh. Its not that I'm not happy where I am, its my sense of adventure and wrecklessness, I guess, but then I always gave into circumstances whereby I shouldn't have. I always end up playing safe and it is actually against my nature. I fear I was "waiting" for the opportunity whereas I should simply have "made" the opportunity! Still hoping that one day I do it..... I just do it!!!!

I did after my first d. I went to Hawaii for a year had a blast. I wound up crewing on a 45 foot cattamaran for ten months. I got invited home for Thanksgiving and came back to California. I had so much fun on that boat that I built my own 45 footer when I got back.
