People don't fear death it is the conclusion that they have finally reached the point where they realise they can procrastinate no longer.

They then realise all the bad things they have done and not apologised for . All the things they should of stood up for but didn't. This is why they cry. For now it is too late to go back and say...

Every step you take is the right one in that moment.

Have no regrets.

No offense meant!

DD4 i think you hit, what i think of as, what Dylan is referring to
in that phrase.

Actually the correct quote is "While them that defend what they cannot see. With a killer's pride, security. It blows their minds most bitterly for them that think deaths' honesty won't fall upon them naturally. Life sometimes must get lonely. "

I've taken care of many people who were dying and I don't think I've ever seen one cry when they were dying, I agree with the statement that people would probably cry if they were in a clear state of mind when told they had just a little time left to live...and I would assume that it would be because of all they still wanted to do and those they would have to leave behind.

That is calming to know that most of you who have had to witness death haven't seen too many tears, but how about those that aren't sick, like they are stuck on the tracks and the train is coming!!!
Petrified might be the word. I am questioning too much, everyone knows it's just a survival instinct....in that case anyway.

even those i watched face the firing squad of hezbollah gorillas ...did not flinch or shed a tear...and some of them were 13 yrs old....

i have seen waaaay too much for any girl to witness...

and all i can say is the cup spills what is in it.

if one is afraid of life they will be afraid of death....cowards are the ones that cry the hardest

i am just answering from my experience so don't take my comment as any judgement of your situation....

Have to agree with you. My father actually had a smile on his face.
To this day, 16 years later I wonder what was on his mind.

I have seen death too many times. Over the years I have watched my father, mother, an aunt, a fiance, and a friend die. Not one of them cried. It was I who cried.

Is it the fear of pain, or the fear of what they will miss? Or just the fear of the unknown?
It is obviously all those factors combined into one GREAT fear!Of not knowing what is next, what lies ahead and so forth.
We all would be scared of the unknown! If you wouldnt be,then your'e obviously not human,ok?

My own experience of watching my husband of 10 years succumb to cancer, he did not cry. he actually looked at peace with himself and was ready to go. To much suffering.

The only regret he voiced was leaving behind his loved ones but also knowing we would walk together again.

He slipped into a coma and passed the next evening. Even writting this just brought tears to my eyes.

He fought a good fight but was ready to let go. Thanks for letting me get that off my chest.

crying sigh

you cry when you born and you cry when you die..i guess the beginning and the final share same positions..they should be equal..but there are some people are not cry before dying..they believe that their lifes will end with the feeling of peace..

hope everyone feels this peace before they die..
