I dont want to look dumb, I want to make a good first impression but I dont know really how to. I am a very shy perosn and this is scaring the death out of me. So if you can please help!!!!!

Your fear is totally unwarranted. You're going to be meeting a friend that you've known for five years. Just be yourself and enjoy his company. Take him around your town and show him the things and places that you like. The ice that you fear will melt away so quickly that you'll laugh at the idea that you ever feared it in the first place.

Don't try to impress him by planning a grand perfect date. He's probably much more interested in just being with you and talking. For me, some of the best times that I've enjoyed were actually the spontaneous things we did in-between the planned stuff anyway. Don't worry about taking him to a loud rock concert where you won't even be able to talk. He's not coming there to see a rock concert, he's coming there to meet with you. Just do the things you normally do.

One thing I always find romantic is when the woman just drives me around her home town showing me all her favorite places and shares with me her memories of those special places. Just do exactly the same thing with him that you would do if you about to meet a girlfriend that you had met online. You'd just want to share with her all the things that you enjoy. Why not do the same thing with him? Just treat him like a long lost best friend.

That's what I'd do if a woman came here to meet with me.

Just have fun and be yourself.

As long as your having a good time,it doesn't really matter what it is your doing.

A hike,
A picnic,
the theater,
good resturant,
Live music,
Karoke,
Dancing,
Etc.
Something diffrent, something new, something that the two of you share in common.

Good luck, don't have to many expectations, and enjoy!

these are very good suggestions or you could recall things that you have discussed in the past and do something along those lines

after five years it would seem that you would have talked about things you each like to do

good luck hope all goes well

Like everyone here says, be yourself. After 5 years of talking, the two of you should be quite comfortable together.
