Here in the U.S., some men are afraid of us women who are different, too. I have more spirit and sometimes talk more than many men can handle. Many men, in general, don't understand free spirits? Let's here from you men on this theory, please. cheers

Let me share a message I thankfully received from a fortune cookie at a very impressionable age:

"Nature forms us for ourselves, not for others. To be, not to seem."

Ain't it true.

Never stop being yourself to meet someone. I'd wrather be alone and be myself than be someone I'm not.

Just be yourself, babe. If that's what you like to wear, then by all means wear it! Don't let a man judge you by the kind of clothes you wear.

In the town I live in, I get judged too by the way I dress. I dress in mini-skirts, low rider jeans, low cut shirts/blouses, and high heels. And I wear these all the time (when I don't is when I workout, staying home, or going camping/beach/lake). But I'm comfortable in it and people in this town talk about me because of how I dress (men AND women!).

Don't worry about what other people think or say. Stay the way you are. Don't let anyone change you. head banger applause wave

Your a fabulous looking lady ,,thats for sure.
It ain't yer dress..hell a woman can turn up in a dustbin bag today and get away with it.

I have old aged hippy friends,,they can be hard work as they think and speak obliquely..that can be difficult at times.

Or you have fried yer brain with good old fashioned Californian sunshine and strawberry fields and don't realise your on a completely different planet to others.

Talk to me..see what happens?

I loathe, despise this innocuous , vague yet narrow minded term "normal"; it is totally relative; no one or group has an exclusive patent or copyright on it, not even these bizarre "fundamentalist" of any religion who are always more mental than not,( is it any wonder that they all need funds...)
I have always thought it a shame that there never was a "Hippie State" or small country, other than in one's mind...but then again, if there was, I guess that it would be under siege, under attack all the time simply because it would be "different".
Many of the old Hippie communes have turned to organic farm communities , especially in California and a few other States...I'm glad that something of it all has survived; it leaves people with more choices on how to live and be "normal" within themselves away from the cesspools of what the majority label as "normal". All societies need what Monty Python announced on many of their shows:" and now for something completely different..." %) I hate conformity.
