I agree redheadedtaurus...I think we are as a result of what we've lived through... decisions we've made and those made for us.
I'm grateful to know that I have more forks in the road ahead... more opportunities to change my life from what it is now. I like to focus on what those could be rather than dwell on those that are behind me, ones I can't change now.
I agree, one should focus on the future forks and know you can make a choice. That goes against, in my opinion potentially irresponsible, belief that our lives are preset by fate or destiny. In the latter case, one could simply do whatever he/she wants and deny personal influence and responsibility.
