11 years old...me and my friend were cutting through a footpath at the back of a school on our way home late one evening.
We noticed 2 older boys sat on the school grounds just over the way. They looked like they had been drinking or something...and were shouting and swearin to each other.....just rambling...talking shite....

The area we lived in was notorious for drugs and crime, and was a no go area for outsiders..especially at night.
As we continued up this path, these lads spotted us.
One of them shouted something..got up..and started to walk over to me and my friend...as he approached us.(we were still walking...a little faster now..)..he reached inside his coat.....and pulled out a hunter knife.....we could see how big this knife was..because the minute he pulled it out....he started to quicken his approach....
Eyes wide...and snarling...he screamed.."im gonna cut you little f*****rs..*....and started running towards us.
Me and my friend....started running as well.....there was only a wire fence between us and the field.....and he was running alongside the fence...screaming......waving this knife about.

He was wide eyed...and just going mental....then his friend jumped up...and started running towards the entry at the end of the footpath..yelling..."ill grab em up here....get em!!!"...
Were i a panic now.....terrified......and had to do something..
Before the end of the footpath...there was an embankment leading down to the railway line......so my mate threw his jacket over the spiked fence....and we had to climb over this fence...cut to ribbons from the spikes....with these 2 psychos chasing us..
We scrambled down the embankment...and ended up hiding for 4 hours in one of the nooks on the main railway bridge....trains coming past...we would be shaking with every carriage that was just inches away from us.
Eventually we managed to get back home....told the police...and nobody was ever caught for it.....who knows what might have happened...very scary night indeed....thumbs down

I was hiking with some friends once and we decided to go swimming in a creek.... I slipped and hit my head on a rock and almost drowned. My "friends" left me there -- guess they thought I was joking when I was lying there unconscious.

I can top all your stories,I was married, but got out alive.
I can beat yours, I was married three times and shot at by one of them with my own gun and I got out alive.

I very nearly drowned when I was about 4 years old, my father rescued me!! angel
When I was married, it was touch and go a couple of times!! There are other things which I won't go into.......

But, Charlie, if you married two drunks once, drunk or not, isn't that bigamy?? rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

Mastic....you're too funny but the rest of these stories are amazing!

MY near death experience was driving in a new Volkeswagon on an icy highway. Out of nowhere the car skidded at 65 MPH, hit a 20' high pile of snow, flipped up and over the guard rail, rolled over and over down the embankment and finally came to rest at the bottom! The V.W. was totaled but all I got was a bruised knee from the gear shift and a huge bump on my head! NO....I wasn't drunk, but very lucky!

I was a bouncer/doorman at a legal brothel in the middle of nowhere Nevada... Guy stuck a gun in my face but was too drunk to switch off the safety. It took us both a minute to realize the gun wasn't firing!

A while back I was involved in an accident that broke both my wrists, my nose in two places, almost broke my back and neck, tore the left side of my face off, totaled my left eye, and compacted my ribcage to the point where the majority of my ribs were overlapping (but not broken).
I woke up in the trauma room, but at least I woke up.

The Gulf War, dont know how I did it. Me and 3 dear friends went, but only 3 of us came home :(
