George W Bush you will either love/hate him

Personally i dont do either he is just the next in a long line of wankers running america, may i add by default after stealing the election with the help of his brother Jeb some little prick who runs Florida and who will probally reside in the white house one day, well it is a family tradition.

Lets not forget George Bush snr was the man who messed up the first gulf war by not finishing a job he started Americaa/Britain bombed the shit out of Iraq after there silly attemt to take Kuwait but before the dust had settled Bush did not want to know, he left the Northern alliance who attempted a take over at the mercy of Hussein and they were dealt with in a brutal murderous manner, lwts not forget Saddam was a best mate of the white house when he was fighting Iran, did America not supply him with whatever weapons he requested during that time, i seem to remember Donald Rumsfeld was a great personal friend of Saddam and enjoyed numerous jaunts to Iraq to rub shoulders and probally plot terror on Iran, i could go on and on and on but the moral of what i write is make friends with America at your own risk wine
applause Jeb USED to run Florida. And jeb will never run America...i think those that voted for him TWICE, have learned their lesson

As a resident of Florida..I say good riddance, jeb.

David, I am an American veteran who gave ten years in the Infantry, a portion of which was served in Vietnam. I have earned the right to criticize my leaders. And I don't mind others doing so, if they have a valid point. I just don't understand the point you are trying to make!!

Please help!

You can critisize whoever you like!

I was a veteran and I was prisoner of war also!I served in Iran-Iraq war!
What I mean is that with targeting Bush or others, problems could not be solved!

All of the world must cooperate to have a better world!

It is very annoying question to me: Why US attacked Saddam???
I am not sure what was the motivation of US for attacking to Iraq!!!
But do not you think how brutal was Saddam and how bad he was behaving with Iraqis?
I can ask this question: why US started war with Hitler? Hitler did not attack us???

no argument from me!!peace Just last night, I was talking to an old Army buddy in another city. he jokingly said on the phone....I do not know this person who is talking to me!! Because he fears being wire tapped by the same country that he served to protect. Under this regime..yes, i said regime, our individual liberties are quickly eroding.

You are right. but then they understood that they have made a very grave mistake and world has changed and nobody is secure unless all are secure. If they want to correct their mistakes, what is wrong? though I am not sure about real aims of US yet?

So why American voted him two times?
If I can recall correctly, he was the first president ever to be elected by the courts. The people’s vote didn’t count.

Welcome United States of Amnesia (Estados Unidos agradables de la amnesia- for you illegal aliens). I realize it's chic to bash/blame Bush for every woe in the world; However, I believe this is an over-simplistic, lowest common denomiator mindset. The US has become a nation of whiners and sheep who have been so thoroughly indoctrinated to rely upon their government for perceived safety and security. Some of you here would perhaps benefit from reading a history book (suggested reading "The Federalist Papers") and taking an Economics 101 class. No one "elected" official (I.E. Bush) has THAT much power and influence in our "checks and balances" system of a represenative republic to control anything. It takes a complicit congress, and judicial branch for all policies (with the exception of unchallenged Executive Orders and Presidential Proclaimations) to be enacted. Bush, like Clinton and every other politician has "handlers", the puppet masters that control them. Lobbyists, large contributors, private and corporate enterprises- these are true dictators of US policy (both foreign and domestic). From a global perspective, I don't believe Bush is neither a freedom fighter nor an imperialist terrorist but just merely a cog in the machine to consolidate power into a select few hands (the transformation from a represenative republic to a socialist oligarchy). His purpose (like all other politicians) is to preserve, protect, and defend the institutions used to control the proletariates (plus to get rich(er) and obtain more power in the process). Republican or Democrat- different sides of the same coin.

Hindsight is always 20/20. I speculate (not being a geo-political policy expert) as per the training of Bin Laden that it was in all likelyhood one of the most viable options at the time to counter the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan instead of sending our own troops to fight (the Soviet version of the Vietnam War). Boycotting the 1980 Olympics by President Jimmy Carter in protest- that is the true headscratcher.

Russians could not win war with Afghanies. If US itself enterd war with Soviet Union, don't you think that WWIII could start in that time.

I think that we have just concentrated on persons instead of policies.Do you really think that Al Gore or Karry could act differently?

If US won the war in Iraq in 2003, then most of the Americans dislike Bush again? or they were proud of him?

I do not know exactly.

Why did Bush think that it was important to the interests of this country to start a war in Iraq? If the concern was that UN resolutions were being violated by Iraq then why should we act as the policeman of the world? And why should we choose which UN sanctions we'd like to see enforced and which ignored?

The whole world is so much more dangerous now because of our myopic, self-centered actions. We need to learn to live-and-let-live. Not everyone wants to live like we do and we should leave people alone to their own devices. Nor do we have a divine right to the natural resources of the world.

I think you will find that he's a failed businessman as well. Just do a Google search on Bush's oil business before he got into politics.
