CS listens to your feedback…. Who's Viewed Me Feature

About a year ago we added a feature called Who’s Viewed Me. We thought it would be fun for you to know who has shown enough interest to read your profile and/or view your photo… even though they may not have taken the step to send a flower or message. It’s like going to a party and making eye contact from across the room, but not going over to talk to them yet. It’s also a kind of feedback… a tool to help you know if your profile is attracting attention. It was our goal to ‘mix things up a little’ and get things going between members that might not otherwise find each other.

For months we’ve received notes from members telling us they don’t like Who’s Viewed Me. In our never-ending-effort to make improvements to your online dating experience here, we removed the feature. Also, in terms of site performance, this is a ‘power robbing extra’ and why waste resources for something members don’t even like?

Now, however…. We are being flooded with requests to bring that feature back..

Ok.. Alright already… Which is it?? Yay or Nay??

We have brought this feature back to the site...

I am new to this site, but I definitely think this is a good feature, so I think it should be brought back.

Why not see who has viewed you ..... what do they have to hide ........ then you can see if you are possibly interested in what you read .... and if no pic with profile ditch it ........ because there should be no reason a person cannot put a pic up ..... after all it is free to do so .... should be thankful and pleased to do so .........

i say yes,
i'm new to all this and not that confident so it's a little boost to know someone out there liked the look of you.

can be a little deflating to not receive a message if you like the look of them but at least you have the option of making the first move.

Definitely keep the "Who's Viewed Me" feature. It's a nice form of feed back to know if someone's looking. Also let's a person know what type of people my profile is attracting. Is it the kind of person I might be attracted to, or am I perhaps sending the wrong message?

I like the feature a lot - the addition of the date viewed would be very helpful.

I say yay. I like it very much, matter of fact, just tonight I saw where a lady viewed me, but didn't leave any message or flower. So I contacted her, and we are now chatting. May go somewhere, may not, but at least we had a pleasant conversation. None of which would have been possible without this feature. Thank you folks of CS

I think its a good idea some people might be too shy to contact you direct, so if you see they have shown an intrest by looking at your details and have not got in contact, then you can then contact them......... if you know what I mean. By the way I love this website, has given me my confidence back, THANK YOU X

I vote "YEA"

But some other sites have an option ... you can block your own profile from showing up in others' "Who's Viewed Me" lists. It's more complicated to set up, but it's the right way to do it. Kind of like having caller ID, but allowing a user to block their number from showing up on caller ID.

Now, how about another option ... saving a search, or allowing a user to search based on their "your basics" settings. It seems like I always have to go to advanced search and start from scratch. Or am I missing something?

I guess, like most, I want to see who's viewed me, but I may not want them to see that I've viewed them ... but of course we can't all do that as it cancels out. Hmmm ...
I don't like it because if someone winks and I check their profile, they get all excited and send an amorous email, but I'm not interested and they think I've led them on.
I'd like to know how many times I get 'hit on' and skip the rest.

Let the looker decide if he/she wants to leave an imprint or not. I for one, is not going to asume that a person is interested in me just because they have read my facts. Maybee a good idea would be to have one free peek that is not shown, but if you go there twice it should be showned.
