Update on my "Professor!"

He sent me two e-mails last night being very persistent and pushy.
When I answered them this morning politely and nicely, he quickly responded with two more...each different and again pushy, giving me his phone #, asking me to come visit him in Atlanta or at least call him. Since I responded to his last one around noon, asking him what college he's affiliated with along with a mention of my "grandson" also going to college majoring in Communication....HE DISAPPEARED!!!

Don'tcha love it??? dunno I guess older women are supposed to be

My sister and I finished dinner and then walked across the street to feed carrots to three beautiful horses. When they see us coming with the bowls, no matter where they are in the pasture, they come running like crazy to meet us!

WHY don't they put an "EDIT" button for us to go back and FIX a typo!! Every other message board I'm on has EDIT BUTTONS!! I wonder if there's a place I can dig out to ask for such a thing.

Hi Ladies!!!

I have to tell you about a guy I was talking to for awhile never saw a pic for about two months but we talked everyday...he was nice didn't have alot in common but I thought I'd give him a chance anyway. I decided I wanted to meet him and suggested it to him....well, he was really hesitant to do so. I asked him what the problem was and he told me he was afraid I would'nt like what I saw and that, is why he never posts a pic....he wants someone to get to know him before they judge his looks.

Needless to say, I finally persuaded him to meet me and I told him upfront that no matter what, we would always be friends and you can't have enough GOOD friends these days so he agreed.

well, we met and as he stated, I wasn't physically attracted to him....he wasn't ugly but just not what I was looking for. He wasn't expecting me to fall in love, just be a friend and that, is what we still are today 3 yrs later....he has since found a wonderful woman that loves everything about him....

Like I told him...not everyones definition of attractive is the same....beauty, is in the eye of the beholder.

I have a question for all of you ladies...

What if you have been talking, emails, phone, etc., with a guy and he is really wonderful and you are a bit smitten....then when he finally gets around to posting a picture...and there is just no chemistry at all......How do you handle this?...I kind of have the situation now, from another site. He seems to be such a great guy..Really good communication and a great listener. Truely seems to care.

I am feeling pretty shallow about this, so please any advise welcome!

He was a serious Nightmare waiting to happenrolling on the floor laughing He told me he was 55,but i found out through the GrapeVine,he was 79 years old.Dang!!!!! old enough to be my daddy!!!

JAG.....I TOTALLY understand your concern over this situation. It's never easy to back out of a situation you're not comfortable in. I'd say it's NOT going to work for you with him because pictures are worth a thousand words. If he's not butt ugly in the pic, he COULD BE in person! OMG...don'tcha feel bad? Does he have nice teeth? A good smile? SOMETHING going for him?

What the heck. IF he said he's okay being friends, then go for THAT aspect of it. Slowly back yourself out of any cozy conversations or those that hint at being a match made in heaven!
you make some good points. So it's not onlu men that looketh on the outward appearance!! I thought Jag was talking about me when she first got an e-mail from an old man, who looked older than her. But then I realized....I AM older than her. But we haven't met so it wasn't me
