My dad used to lie about his age.......... when he was in his middle 50's (not much older than I am now) he used to tell strangers that he was 76 years old.

'Gosh! people used to exclaim..'you don't look much older than some guy in his 50's!'

My dad used to smile knowingly, and tell them he went to Switzerland every six months for injections made from monkey glands.

Most people seemed to believe him!

I guess that would make him a cheeky monkey!! laugh

Hmmmm, I'd have to say that people lying about their ages is frustrating to me because it causes other people not to trust my age... I get accused of lying about my age all the time. And I've only been on CS a week. Welcome, me!yay

They are insecure,low self-esteem,phycos,mentally ill and not on meds.,cowards,fear rejection or live in a fantasy life so on here they are anyone they want.Sad and sometimesfrustrated

Well its truly sad, but I do have to wonder at the extent of it sometimes because WOW some people sure do look old for their age.

Better to be truthful - because it will come out in the end. As well at least have a current photo etc. because if you are serious about meeting someone - they are going to see you in person - so itsn't it important to at least to be able to recognize the person that you are going to meet?
