I am soo glad a lady has brought this up.
Frankly..their reasons are their own,,,but my point of view is simple..
If I'm talking to someone..I expect to see their face.
I would'nt talk to someone if they were on the other side of a door.
it makes no sense to me.

I think that there are some that just don't have pics scanned to their computers.

And then there are the ones that are trying to hide from their ex'es.

And then there are the ones that are just to damned lazy to put their pics up.......or they think they are too uglydoh doh doh

And then there are those that think the default pic is better looking than themrolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

I am sure there are many reasons, though they just don't have the courtesy to post it in their profileslaugh laugh

I have not been particularly bothered by this. I have learned (by asking) why many men are reluctant to post their picture. I have not asked any women. Many of them have told me they have professions where they do not want to be up for ridicule by colleagues, floods of emails, etc. I'm sure the above reasons are also valid.

However, I do not correspond with men who have no picture, except for comments on my postings. When I see "Ask for my picture", I do ask, and have, EVERY SINGLE TIME so far, received one by return mail.
(except for the few who responded with pics of their 'private parts'.)
But, I have even profited by those occasions in blogs and comments, so it's not a total loss.

It will be interesting to see responses from any who have no pictures posted. Thank you for this post, Summer.

See Ive had lots of people say that " you only have to ask and I'll give you a pic" but it still makes me suspicious and I don't like to talk to them. I guess the trust must start from there dunno

Summer, did ya see my blog on that? Why bother getting all upset with them? Wasn't anything I hadn't seen before, so I used sarcasm and humor.

Most importantly, I figure they assisted me in culling out those messages to which I had no interest in responding.( Not nice people do not nice things.)

I'll check my blogs...If I have not already posted it on this site, I will do so. You will probably crack up with laughter.

Fondly,

well really what does one say
when they see the photo and become disinterested?

-its awkward

but if there was a foto up from the beginning
the two would begin talking with ease as they would have
on some level, passed muster..?

ive seen all situations w/ fotos
fuzzy-far away shots are the same as none if you ask me.
but i spose its enuf to interest some and get them communicating,
simply because its a foto posted.

also men and women use fotos that are NOT current-lol
and sometimes i figger-what does it matter if theres a foto?
ive discovered over the years many a foto that actually came from google or somewhere-LOL
what can we do-?

having a foto-
in a way...well, it allows a rapport-(or not) to develop
just to get chatting
but so far as the "oooh i dunno how to do that-" explanation?

puuuuuhlease! for me, thats a red flag!!

good thread again!!!

WEll, a lot of people don't have scanners.

A lot of people don't use digital cameras or can't figure out how to load the stuff.

We live in a world that is so full of like fandagled cell phones, hand held stuff and jsut all sorts of things.

A lot of people can't afford this stuff or they just don't understand how it works.

Now on the darker side, yeah someone might be concealing themselves for different pirposes and this can be bad. I have had no personal experience with this.

and have em put on a disk for 3 bucks

You might find some of the pictures on the post office bulletin boards.

and i guess im mostly referring to those
that say they cant even send one
thru mail-

i know there are reasons for not posting it on a site but come on!

plus so many times they are the first to ask you to cam-
but they dont have one-lol

like i said we dont even know if these fotos are actually them
but its just more comfortable even though its a counterfeit feeling
of security

to be "looking at someone"

and if a guy cant figure that out
he's too stoopid to interest me anyway-

I was on this site for nearly a year without a pic......

And made some good lasting friends......

Had someone view me about ten times.....no email or flower.....

After the pics....

the same guy sent flowers and emails till I blocked...

What are people looking for?

Give me a blank face with true words any timethumbs up
