Well said Tracy - just because things have always been that way does not mean that they always have to be thus - a revolution in consciousness would be infinitely more beneficial
You're either on the bus or off the bus, but that doesn't mean we have to fight about it...wink grin cool

Tell yall what when i get over there i will report back everything i see on the ground every chance i get. I will show yall how we help and how we dont. Freedom is something that has to be fought for and only the men and women on the ground can tell you what it is like not the media or people sitting at home on their comps. Not that i dont like yalls opinons cause thats what i wanted to know. But i feel untill you actually set foot in Iraq or in the middle east and see the war first hand you have no room to talk, because you just dont know. Remeber blood and violence sells newspapers and gets the ratings up!

But dont you see that there are two sides to every story - I dont agree that only the men and women on the ground can tell you what its like, I also think that any mother who has held a dying child in their arms can also give a good rendition of "what its like"

Problem is, history is written by the winners...

I've always had my suspicions about the War in Heaven...

And every war since...

Exactly, but its a shift in consciousness that has to be mainstream before war will be something that we can toss out of the tool-box, so to speak.

Not that I'm for war, mind you. I just know what the current paradigm is all about. Atrocity can only be covered-up and/or revised historically, not justified.

I agree but what about that mother that son got held in prison under the former regime that didnt get to see her boy or had to witness him hung in the town square what would she say.

“Men since the beginning of time have sought peace…military alliances, balances of powers, leagues of nations, all in turn failed, leaving the only path to be by way of the crucible of war. The utter destructiveness of war now blots out this alternative. We have had our last chance. If we will not devise some greater and equitable system, our Armageddon will be at our door. The problem basically is theological and involves a spiritual recrudescence, an improvement of human character that will synchronize with our almost matchless advances in science, art, literature and all material and cultural developments of the past two thousand years. It must be of the spirit if we are to save the flesh.”

do you really think that these invasions are about these things - its all about oil - we are the pawns that allow the governments to have any power - without instilling a sense of righteousness in first the soldiers and then the general populace where would these politicians be - let them go and fight it out for themselves

"No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country.
He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country."

"War is an art and as such is not susceptible of explanation by fixed formula"

"If everyone is thinking alike, someone isn't thinking."

"All men are timid on entering any fight. Whether it is the first or the last fight, all of us are timid. Cowards are those who let their timidity get the better of their manhood."

Accept the challenges so that you can feel the exhilaration of victory.
- General George Patton

maybe, its easier to invade somewhere than it is to quell the unrest which would result from petrol rationing in some countries - flippin politicians - always a motive which isnt made public !!!

Do you believe this strongly about this? Are you willing to give your life for what you believe, and for your fellow man of woman?

If so, then lead, start a revolution, see how many will follow.

I`m not trying to be a smartass here, just realistic.

I always believed in leading by example. If the current example we set as world leaders is how we are viewed, how our freedom is expressed, no wonder most people are skeptical of the american way.

The american way is greed, pure and simple. Some things in life are more important than green back. We spout God's Will and Manifest Destiny with one side of our mouth and economic exploitation with the other half. Until we can bring our country into balance, we set a poor example of freedom...

I wont even get into the oil bs but i know why i fight and why my men fight and i know that we take those values with us and double think everytime before we take that life. Trust me noones dies over there unless the raise arms against me or my men. Then you better bet that i will shot him down with no prejudice. We are over there we will be over there and we aint going anywhere soon!
