Is one of the two choices going to get you where you want to be quicker than the other?

They make a good point. If you join the National Guard you actually get payed more and better and the college fund is alot more. since they give you 100% tuition that means you get the GI Bill and GI Kicker for pocket money and you also can get a taste of the military life. that way you know if you like it or hate it. I know you and I have talked about this many times before and you dont seem to wanna listen to me but I am telling you the truth and the marines are pigs. no offence if their are any on this site. Call me if you decide that you wanna know more about the National Guard. And I am telling everyone the NG gets payed more then active.

Well I spent a few years in the Army so let me see if I can help you out. First of all ...all branches of the military have a national guard, or reserve. The thing is, if you want to be a combat medic, the best thing is Army. You could go active, guard or reserve. If you join the navy, you will be a medic for the Marines, as the Marines do not have their own medics, whether you go active, guard or reserves. If you want to work in a hospital, go Air Force, again either active, guard or reserves...hope that helps.

Actually this is not true in all states, as a matter of fact ...very few do it, and its a program that is slowly being phased out.
