well me i am just here to make friends and maybe get to know someone along the way

Very true...however since I do get messages from women claiming to be looking for friendship only, it seems my stated intentions with being here does not matter.

Am I right if I understand it the way, that you are actually hoping very much to find love in here by things starting up as friendship, but you perhaps don't believe much in it (hence you intentions being to find friend)?

I already found it...No what I am saying is that I did not come here looking for love...BUT it ended up finding me anyway...My intention was always to start off any relationship I may choose to have as a friendship on or off-line because jumping into anything too quick doesn't work....I never messaged or contacted anyone...I was just here...being me and never thought anymore about it than that!!!!!!! I always figured that if I was to share my life with someone that we would find each other regardless of where it was or what the circumstances were!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I haven't made a notice of that. Surely the comapny running this site does not mind people coming here to make friends, since it is an option in "looking for". Since ads are the only revenue, hits on CS is what they are interested in. I'm not at all arguing that you shouldn't be here, just because you are not looking for love.

Does your love not find it a bit peculiar that you are still here looking for men 39-50? Am I really way too insecure if I would dislike my girlfriend (if I had one) trying to find people of the opposite sex online??

Your view on this actually interest me a lot. I hope I'm not offending you with my questions. It's not my intention! I've just got one last question....

Though I know most people would argue against this, it is my experience that the more people you meet, the bigger the chance you find someone you fall in love with....no matter if you are already in a relationship with someone you love or not. Or to put it another way, the more people from the opposite sex you get exposed to, the more likely you are to fall in love. Even if you and your boyfriend disagree with this, are you not at all worried about your boyfriend being exposed to thousands of women in here? To me it is not about trust, but about human nature. Would you not mind if your boyfriend was hanging out in bars with purely single women every night? Or is it very different for you, when it is an online dating site?

No you're not offending me at all...Well for some people this may be true...BUT we both hang out here so no I'm not worried and neither is he...It doesn't matter how many men or women you come in contact with when you are in love with someone in RL or on-line...I don't consider it human nature to just fall in and out of love so easily...At least it's not in my nature...nor is it in his!!!!!!!!!!

We both have friends of the opposite sex and it's not a big deal to either of us because...Trust is the key!!!!!!!!

I'm here to find love. I'm tired of being single, all my friends are with someone and when they want to go out and do a date type thing I always feel like the odd wheel. I know they don't think that, but I do. I also hate being the only one on New Years to not have someone to kiss.

I'm not here for friends because the internet is one thing but I'm more of a real world kinda guy. Besides if I want friends I go some place to find friends. And if I wanna date I go some place to find a date not both. Some people on sites like this have trouble understand the fact that they're on a DATING site NOT a hey let's all be pals and not accomplish anything site. *sigh*

I think that people you meet online can definitely be considered friends. FYI - This is part of the real world. We have opportunities to meet people that we wold never have a chance to meet in our lifetimes. I am here to make friends. I'm open-minded about it though. *M*

You're absolutely right! I have met a few REALLY decent people through this medium and I DO consider them my friends.
