My advice is move on don't wait around you could be missing out on some real fun, his loss at the end of the day. Just live each day as it comes, don't expect anything and you won't get anything, bite the bullet and get out there and have fun fun fun lol

I guess it can but still need that eye to eye in person meeting. Have fell for a couple of guys on the internet. Then come to find out when we met 1 sent his cousins picture out saying it was him which was a big strike against him for being a liar, (No second chance for that) and the other absolutely no sparks off line. So now I wonder is there some magic in this screen we look at???? But all the best of luck to you, Hope it happens for you.

Yes.

Many years ago, on another site -- far, far, away -- I corresponded with a local guy for one week before meeting in person. It was wonderful, and we dated for 4 years (we lived together for 2 of those, and almost married -- but business took him to Hawaii, and I chose to stay here).

We are still friends.

^^^ Great inspirational answer. I just love how it oozes confidence and inspiration.

You obviously haven't spoken with Laurie or some others who have CONNECTED here....

Do you know what gets me lol Is how people say negative things about meeting someone online and falling in love but yet here they are in a dating site themselves? Whats up with that now? lol

Hi and welcome.
I don't know really. I am wondering the same thing.
But ever since I saw the picture of a guy I have great respect for trying to find love on line, I have become convinced that there are good and genuine people to meet online.
So, like the others said, be very careful and patient, which I know I am not very good at.
Best of luck.xxx

My point exactly Tracey. It usually means that the person has not yet resolved their insecurities or confidence taken with previous relationships.

If you don't believe in yourself, you can't expect someone else to, nor can you expect something like a dating site to work.

I believe, because I want to believe, so I am already one up....

I think that everyone would like to think that it does. I tried the phone line dating service before getting online. I met some really nice people, but it was like they just wanted to play. I am the first for a really good time, but some of us are really looking for a relationship! It's definitely alot harder to meet people on the internet cause it's exactly that, the internet. Look forward to at least meeting a few good friends if nothing else.

I have to say yes it can but it takes a lot of work if you are willing.
I think if a couple who meet online and makes it work for them can make it thru anything once they are together in person.
You could be right there Earl! Looks like you are doing just fine!
