I joined in 1947, when it was a newsletter with names and adresses for pen pals. Most people didn't have color photographs to mail to all of their pen pals, so they just drew stick figure pictures of themselves. We didn't have fancy cyber or phone sex. We mostly just used our imaginations and some petroleum jelly.
