When I was 20 I looked 15, when I was 30 I looked 20 and now I'm 37 and I look 30. I had to show ID to people to convince them I was my age.
Why would anyone believe someone would try to make him/herself older than they actually are? ( legal stuff put aside, of course)

Every single one of them called me again. I told them that I didn't trust them, that if they lied about their ages by posting old pictures, then how can I believe anything they say to me. Actually, if two of them had not lied to me, I would have gone out with them even though they were terribly old since they were very interesting men. I like good food and good conversation, and I really had a wonderful evening with two of the men, because they knew so much about politics and the world around them. But again, once a liar .... always a liar.

Oh..... the reason they gave for posting the old pictures was that they believed they still looked the same. How in the world can you look the same when your picture depicts you with brown hair and you show up with grey, white hair, or very little hair! One thing that stood out with every single man I met was that they all insisted on taking me to a very expensive place for dinner and encouraged me to order high-priced meals. My friend Helen say maybe they figured I would be so into going to expensive places for dinner that I would forget about the age thing. I don't know; I think a person who posts a 20 year old picture and believes he/she looks the same has some mental issues.
When they're in their 60's for sure...rolling on the floor laughing

But never thought of given them a second chance??

Ok, this is funny...met this guy, I myself don't like older guys, he said he was 42, I said, ok, well...we chatted for like 4 months, he was sooooooooooooooooooo interesting, but I used to tell him everything, and I mean EVERYTHING...used to make jokes about his age and so on, treated him like a friend...when we met he has younger than me....and we stayed together for over a year..he just wanted to know how honest I was and if it would really have mattered that he was old since we had a blast all the time...and guess it didn't...wink

Why do people lie about their age? The answer seems obvious to me: They want other people to believe them.

I'm 52, and I can live with that fact. However, I strongly suspect that members claiming to be half my age are getting twice as many emails as I am. If that was all I was looking to get out of my membership, I just might lie.

Hello everybody... Today is my cs day...lol...Hope ur all having a great sunday, it sure has been a great day so far here.

Please tell me why people, guys and girls, lie about their age, you can clearly see in their pics that they are older, or, they place pics of when they were younger. What can u tell me? Are u comfortable with your age??

I'm 34 years old, was born in august 73, do the math, and I'm soooooooooo happy with my age, have done everything I wanted, when I wanted it, travelled, learned, loved...happy being who I am, including my age!!
I have often wondered, and why lie about how tall you are? I am very happily 55 due to be 56 in December. I have earned every little laugh line and I love 'em.

I'd like to know the same thing. I, too, ask the same question. At 37, I've done what I've wanted, traveled, have the freedom to do as I please and often wonder if folks lie about their age and place false pics (when they were younger) is because they are insecure with themselves. dunno

I am 65 and proud of every year, my photo is recent, and most people do not believe I am this age even in real life. I am young at heart and feel and act young so will always be young no matter the age.grin
