A Long distance relationship can work on my part because I am a one man's woman. However, not to stereotype all men, but from my stand point and experience I have yet to find a one woman's man. Therefore, it is yet to prove to me that it could work. Who knows though, one day I might get lucky. But for now, I can only dream and hopeday dream

my two bobs worth.
each partnership is different, some will make it work, but for how long? who knows, it must take it out of you, the travel.
dunno about any one else, but i like to be close to a partner, be there when she is feeling sad, lonely or just needs a cheer up, can you give your ldr partner a hug on the other side of the world?
i'd love to share physical intimacy (not just sex) on a regular basis,
not just one weekend evry month or so, just to damn hard in my mind.

great topic though.

Long distance relationships can work, but it takes two to make them work....Obviously, if one is too busy to make it, then one is too busy for the relationship which will result in the failure. Everyone needs to realize that with long-distances, that doesn't just restrict the relationship to the phone but should also be visiting and spending time during that relationship.
