Or is it? In lieu of the more intellectual threads I usually attempt, I figured it was high time I introduce myself. My profile is not crazily specific, so, I imagine you can't infer much of my personality from it. Well, this is my official self-introduction. Hello, CS, I'm scott, I've been on this site for a week. I welcome any questions, I'd love to make some friends..... Although, be warned, I have an asshole-ish tendency.handshake

HAHA I've noticed the lack of intellectualism. I think one person tried to tell me Ralph Waldo Emmerson was a metaphysic spiritualist..... And that's one of the smarter posts I've seen in these forums.... no offense to anyone who is here just to have fun......rolling on the floor laughing

To tell ya the truth, I don't know off the top of my head who the f@#$k he was, and that's not important right now, but I don't consider myself an intellectual. I just like elevating my convos a little higher than may be average.
Plus, with the net now, almost all info is available and I've never really liked to quote so and so.

But like I said, keep 'em coming! wine

Oh, well, I very much recommend you check out Emmerson. He was one of the founders of the Romantic literature movement in America..... He was a transcendentalist.

Hello!!!
did ya look it up at all?

i came in here to tell you how hot it made me that you could spell lieu

but you insist on misspelling emerson
EVERY TIME

he was a unitarian
which is a cousin to christian science which branched off a bit to religious science (metaphysics) and the founder of religious science leaned
greatly on what he gleaned from what he saw as emersons wisdom
(therefore emerson was an influence)

geez open a book already

you have tendencies alright
we've already covered that

devil
cheers

great now i get to go to bed frustrated AGAIN
rolling on the floor laughing

I'm sure I will, Scott, and I'm sure my memory will jog into place once I look him up. At this point, I care more about what I can learn rather than about what somebody else has learned and their conclusions. One man's mind is another man's garbage. We're all part of this big puzzle called live and I have to relate and understand my piece and find where it fits in this life.
Most of the things I read are stored in my bio-synthetic hard drive for me to retrieve later when needed. Sometimes though, the electro-static needle gets knocked about by a brain fart and I loose some of the info, hence the net is a wonderful tool grin

I did spell emerson wrong... AND last time we talked I was under the impression that you felt Ralph Waldo Emerson had christian science beliefs.... Which I would strongly disagree with... But, yes, his writings definitely influenced the religion... good call.... I should go back and finish high school. rolling on the floor laughing Sorry to frustrate you sweetheart... You know I'd never do anything to hurt you ;).

Someone once quoted a damper specifically designed to deter vibrations caused by the common brain fart. By the way, please don’t quote me on this.

I've enjoyed the net a lot myself.... I started a thread yesterday I think on the difference between infatuation and love... It didn't take, but it led me to research what parts of the brain push out emotions... Very interesting stuff.... All grown from a desire for the definition of emotion... I didn't like my dictionary's version.
