Ha! How naive; nice sentiment though. Nothing wrong with it; lives should matter, but in reality lives are like flies...I'm in an area of southern Libya on the Tchad/ Sudan border watching the flies die. Some will not. And what have you been doing all this time...protesting or doing some minimal sabotage at least? What Germany sells to whomever, is only cleared through Uncle Sam; I don't need any one's permission to broker sales, but at least this way, I get to pick the sides that I will work for; same as when I picked with which military I joined. Swearing allegiances and learning the national hymns are nothing more than formalities, trivialities really; give me the old flag of the Death's head flag of the Waffen SS any day...even our old Imperial Flag. There is no "war" in Iraq. It's a tyranny toppling gone bad, it's a civil war where allegiances are murky and the fighting factions vie for recognition or face annihilation from the political process, it's one administration's miscalculations and naiveté in probing the Arab mind and ways, it's nation building without concrete or architect, it's an international example in the making or braking.

I'm still waiting for the US Govt.(the Bush-Chaney gang), to declare Iraq a new US Stare; make all Iraqis US citizens; declare the current war "an internal domestic situation" thus hopefully excluding all countries from any further comments. One small advantage would be for the FBI to stage a "Waco-style" situation on every block of every neighborhood, in every town and city...betcha, they'd love the chance...a nation wide contest of mainland US could pick a name for the new state! Imagine the possibilities!
It would boost the US economy way up as every-type of US culture enterprise would flood the new state to bring those primitive, backward neolithic savages the benefits of democracy: MacDonald's on every corner, Coke replaces tea, porn shops on every street, country-western style bars in and music on every street... schools with kids carrying guns, gangs, overweight slobs in t-shirts 2 sizes too small, fuzzy pink slippers on their footsies waddling down the sidewalks pushing their strollers with their flabby bellies, while chomping on a burger and drinking a quart sized coke; my gawd, the possibilities are endless!! I won't even mention the gas and oil scenarios and all the thousands of Exxon Mobil, Shell stations on every block and the car-lots filled with Cadillacs, Buick's, Hummers, etc. I wonder how many from the mainland US would move to this new frontier...a great chance to play out all the Wild West fantasies...old locals would be as they are now, to a great degree, the New Indians....to shoot down just like in "dem gud ole days"...
