Absolutely not. You can only get to know a person through exclusive one-on-one conversation. Anything you read in their profile or see them say on a forum is irrelevant.

I wouldn't say that everything said in the forum is irrelevant, I just don't think it is a 100% accurate idea of who they are. Just my opinion

People express only what they want you to see. As I read post, I think, how long did this person think on this to try and impress people with their kind hearted ness and sweetness. I think some on here try too hard to show what nice people they are.

Damn, if everyone was as nice as they portray themselves, the world would be a hell of a lot nicer place to be. Or does CS somehow only attract candy sweet, syrupy peole? Guess I broke through the barrier, somehow!!

No I don't think you can really *know* someone on-line.. even with phone conversations. You might seem to know a fair a bit about them.. you might THINK you know them.. but I don't think you can be sure (or can tell).. until you meet them for real.. where you can see and hear how they interact with you and other people a round them.

Seeing them animated..

Walking talking .. mannerisms.. manners.. gestures.. all of those things I think are virtually impossible to know for real unless you can SEE them for real, and get a more overall picture... that THEN fits or doesn't with what you thought you knew.
