Well I did say I guess it depends on which one it was that broke it off with the other.. If you look at it that way the I believe the one that didn't want the break up is the one that will hurt the most..

How about a global one since I am in the UK and they don't typically celebrate US national holidays...

I would love to be weak for a week.................

or two

Daniel, i want your experience...........most women i know have a harder time moving on than men.....and i don't just mean physically. we just tend to cover it up with smiles and bravado
Good answer thumbs up

Women aren't always as strong on the inside as they seem on the outside. Often, they have been treated badly and then left to run the house and raise kids on their own so appearing weak is not really an option for them...

Also, although some women do manage to eventually move on there are always others that appear strong and jolly on the outside but sadly are scarred for life emotionally forever in some way....

All of what has been posted is so true. I think that men sometimes want to believe we are strong to mitigate their guilt.

It is not fair and maybe it is time for women to not pretend to be the strong ones!!

cheers

I guess you missed some of what I said in a previous post..
I said I guess it depends on which one breaks it off.. so the person tha doesn't want the break up is the one that gets hurt the most..

That is truly a strong point.

I believe this is the first time I have heard a person say they didn't want to be strong. Why solace is there in weakness?? I honestly don't understand that. I am not being critical, I just don't see why someone would not want to be strong. People respect you when you are strong. Failures and let downs roll off you shoulders when you are strong. No one hurts you when you are strong. You are not disappointed when someone close to you fails, when you are strong. You are your own person, when you are strong!dunno

So sorry to hear that.. talking about it helps.. and the passing of time.. my last ex destroyed my entire world and I that I would never get over it.. but the more time that went by the less and less it bothered me.. now I could care less about what she does as long as she leaves me alone.. The only bad thing about time is that time takes it's time at helping to ease the pain.. Try to stay as strong as you can..hug

The point is not whether one is strong or not, it is that people sometimes use it as an excuse to dump on you. I am strong, very strong, but I want the opportunity to be weak sometimes. I need to cry and have someone comfort me too.

I hate to be patted on the head and told that I am strong and will move on easily. That is not fair.

I will always be strong in my job, I have to be or my staff will be impacted. I don't feel I should have to be strong in my personal life too!

That is what I was trying to say with this post.

handshake
