Am I the only one that can't stand those people that have money to buy expensive cameras, take hideous pictures, then call themselves photographers . . .

So I will ask, are you referring to those who take photos of seemingly unimportant, abstract images???

not abstract, I take abstract photographs, I mean the ones that are blurry, out of focus, pointless, and everyone tells them there great when they not

My uncle took the Australian photo's of the British Nuclear bomb tests.......

I just spent a lot of money on a good camera, I would never print a photo that was out of focus, heck i can get that with any dime store camera.
I've seen a lot of crap , not just in photagraphy but in art and sculpture , sad thing is that it is encouraged by buyers.

maybe there are art-pics? I like sometimes blurry or other pics not commonly find as good pics and not be step with photography rules.

Nope.

Photagraphy is either utilitarian or art pictures. If you break a rule then you have to make up for it somewhere else. Artist tend to have problems with rules so there being some sort of rules are testiment to their importance.


Dennis ( a blured background with a sharp foreground is certainly fine, and i have seen specificaly out of focus images that worked , but i don't think that was the original thought of this thread.)

I am a sports photographer, and cameras are expensive... wont talk about the lenses lol

I bought an expensive camera that I could use my SLR lenses with ,but now want auto focus lenses,,, I am suspecting that I may not win the cost verses profit struggle.

While you may not be the only one who can't stand people who do anything to which approval may be waning, are you really affected by it enough to call it to everyones attention? People do things in this world far more serious that affect others than taking a few bad snapshots, and the fact that they can afford a decent camera shouldn't matter either......if you wish to throw stones..... pick better targets.... JMO
