I want everyone to enjoy their beliefs. My only question in the beginning was. why has this singles site, turned into a fundementalist meeting site? I thought we were here to meet a partner, not attend a revival meeting

This single site has not turned into a fundementalist meeting site, there is a religion post and why can we not meet someone with the same views we have. Is that still not what getting to know someone is all about.

War,Aids, Cancer.....Priest being indited for sex crimes, the churches paying out hush money so it don"t go to trail....slowly but surely it is here.Just to name a few.

Spirituality is the true faith and cannot be watered down by sycophants and zealots. You are welcome to believe as you will, as is every person about us. God loves each of us and not because we love him first.
Jesus was not too pleased by the state of the church when he walked the earth and he associated with those of us who required him most.
I would never belittle your beliefs beyond an initial spark to instigate or develop an honest intellectual discussion on the belief systems we each portray.

Realistically, there are three traditional things we should refrain from discussing to reduce the possibilities of friction: Religion, Politics, and other people's children. Currently it appears that we as a race have added hundreds of other taboos to this list.
I cannot understand though why armed with this knowledge one would enter a forum Headlined by religion and a topic of Rapture and then antagonize the persons attempting a discourse.
I am not too impressed by pornography yet I do not find myself wandering into XXX rated bookshops or movie stores to tear a strip off the person(s) working therein. A futile attempt on their own grounds, with a subject matter that is legal and obviously interesting to them.
I just walk by minding my own business. I likewise would never target the business for closure. Tolerance is difficult but necessary in our world and its ever increasing growth. We are being forced into larger and larger groups by economic development and numerous other social controls, and we are going to have to live together peaceably.
Give peace a chance.

Do not be offended. Segregation was abolished in body but there will always be those of us who wish to isolate things we cannot understand from our worlds. Fortunately it is illegal and not very well accepted, except in radical pockets.

I am human I make mistakes. I get on my knees and ask forgiveness. It is my temper not my lords. I don't have all the answers don't say I do. I am a dumb hick doing my best to serve my lord. If this offends you I am sure you could read something other than the religion topics.

Because elections are coming in 2008 and they are working the sheeple into a fear frenzy.

Maybe this should have been posted in the RELIGION section instead of the ADVICE section.

I really don't like to be advised on what to believe.
